The Indian MotoVentures yes. If you keep it on side ways during the long drive or off-roading if the mount gets loose due to vibrations it will not held on its place . Therefore it is safer to keep it in the groves.

U can take it to anywhere 2. Can attach panniers and Jerry cans directly 3.good for off-road 4.good suspension 5.best touring bike 6. Good ground clearance 7. Pocket friendly mentainance Cons. 1. Slightly heavier if you belongs to Bajaj/Honda family 2. Bike is slightly higher so if you are taking it to off-road you may fall because of hight and unable to touch Ur legs on ground That's all I can say but considering Ur hight I would recommend u dominor or Duke

Its waterproof - u won't be in worry while crossing the watercrosing and heavy rains and believe me soft panniers or saddle bags will be more worrying part in that situation. 2. Even if you fall ur stuff inside is safe. 3. Bike is more stable with full carrying capacity 4. U don't have to worry about ur stuff u leave with ur bike CHK our orange candy panniers video Mr.Bean had explained every positive point of hard luggage system and believe me he is one of well know and experience rider who had covered every part of India on his bike also he is been to Leh 13 times.

Well, in the royal Enfield website they say specifically that these panniers are not waterproof, I imagine that it's in cases like crossing rivers when you can have problems, I dont think the rain is going to affect the interior

Well the thing is Almunium Panniers are always going to be close or above to 20k so you gotta pick one yourself, I've experience with Dirtsack and they make tough touring accessories and they also have Almunium panniers for Himalayan called Dirtsack Llama it's 20k for pair slightly different in shape but solid.

for 27k good panier? And the rear portion of your himalayan get as fat as your car. Bhai log i have classic 500, i used stainless steel panniers and rear crush-guard / leg guard , total 3500/- for all, and same capacity box, width of back is as much as of my front leg-guard ( ie guessing your bike width is easy, u don't have to look back) and guess what i had several falls, but not a single scratch on my baby. If u have himalayan, don't go for stock career and panniers. there are several other options to make your beast being slim, sturdy and robust, by paying only 1/10th of that amount.
