You are hilarious! 😂 Indianna Jones is right.. 2018 bs4, no abs, no bs period. My wife loves to ride shotgun, says it's very comfortable. Had a faulty fuel pump relay, compass takes a vacation sometimes but seems to recalibrate itself, no complaints with the brakes. After all this time, I still love my mule!

Absolutely brilliant video ! There can surely be no greater endorsement of a machine's "fit for purpose" than when you said that if circumstances robbed you of your current Himalayan, you would immediately go out and buy a new model, identically equipped as the bike you now have. Thanks very much. Plus I love the daftness :-) .

Fantastic video freaking hilarious. Love the Indiana Jones part it totally fits that bike. I picked up a 2020 with no miles on it in March, and put almost 12,000 miles on it since then. I love it. I will say that you and I differ on the comfort of the seat. After a long trip it's excruciating for me. I got an Air hawk pad and that helps a lot. I did a KZbin video on the fuel economy for the Himalayan over something like 52 fill ups, I referenced your video and mileage in there. We were right on the same wavelength. I've had it on the highway for too long stretches one was 650 miles and the other one was 550 MI * 2 for both ways and it runs at high revs a little bit but it's fine even at 10 hours straight. I prefer

Followed your accessories recommandations and it worked well for me too. Done 5500km now most on small mountainroads some gravel some tarmac. On such roads the lack of power is no issue. The only pity is the compass that's not working. An analog watch would have been a better choice. The bike is absolutely reliable and makes so much fun. Its even socializing.I've been addressed as I would carry a puppy with me. The bike just puts a smile on peoples face. Thanks fot your vid - great cinema as always.

I've got an Africa Twin which I love, but unless I'm carrying a passenger or need to get somewhere quickly, the Himmy has become my go to bike. I find sticking to it's happy place around 60mph I'm getting high 70's to a UK gallon which with the astronomical price of fuel here is a big deal. Loved the 2001 homage!

I have had the same bike for a year and 6k miles. Your review is spot on. Around town and on the trail, its perfect. Even on the highway it's not that bad. I can cruise at 75mph all day so long as I am willing to take a hit to my mpg's (still better than a big bore bike). My only complaint is the windscreen to headlamp housing rattle above 4500rpm. The fix, like the bike, is simple. Just a bit of electrical tap lining the inside of the lamp housing and automotive door edge guards on the windscreen. Last note about your review. The comments. Everywhere I go, people want to talk about the bike. Harley guys. Gixxer guys. Old lady's filling up their Buick. Everyone seems to love the styling.

Nothing I love more than unfiltered silliness. Really dramatic with it too. Besides that really good honest review. Besides the gags there is absolutely no fluff. You may be happy to hear that with the later Himalayans and Scram the idling issue was fixed. I am not sure what caused it but apparently it can be fixed with a better quality spark plug. I think the later versions of the bike just idle a little higher. I was looking for a review like this as I am interested in the Scram 411 which is basically the same bike.

Great video man. I found out some companies wanted to swap to all electric soon and decided I'd get a couple brand new gas powered bikes to keep forever. I started with the CT125 and am absolutely loving it. I was telling some buddies I was gonna get the Himalayan or a CRF300L. My wife overheard me talking and surprised me with a 21 himmy this Sept. I'm loving it! If I can swing it in year or two I may still get the 300. I rode a Zero, the baddest one you can buy. It was awesome, fast, more torque than anything I've ever ridden, but it was soulless. After an hour it was a snooze fest...... The electric bike isn't gonna be for me. Thanks for the video man. The rider, first, needs to read about " rides" that can be taken in the Himalayan mountains. For decades the company used royal enfield 350 cc street bikes. The roads that are ridden on are really off road and not trail blazing. This bike was designed to be able to " ride" the routes in the Himalayan mountains. Travel is not high speed, no jumps, roads can be rock strewn. Search you tube for these rides. This bike is for the laid back riding off road.

I was seriously looking at this bike when it first came out but health issues put a long hold on things. But now it looks like things should work out for getting one this spring. I'm happy to see some inprovements have been made like reinforcing the luggage rack and shortening the kick stand. May i ask how many total miles you have put on the bike since you bought it? I really appreciate your information and I will be watching your previous episodes. Thank You

I am so tempted to get a new 2023 RE Himalayan 411 while there are some still available. @UncleVoodoo5 ай бұрын
I think the 411 will be a classic someday, the 452 not so much. I recognize that it's a "better" bike but it doesn't have the charm of the 411. The 452 is what made me jump to the Continental GT as I want to stay with the "old school" builds as opposed to the "modern" stuff with more electronics.

I am happy to hear someone sing the praises of this bike. I have the exact same bike. I bought it because it's confidence inspiring for someone like me, who hasn't ridden a lot of dirt or gravel lately. I have tested it in both and it does great for me. My question is whether you've ridden it up steep dirt/gravel roads. If so, how did it do? I'd like to ride mine on the TAT and some of the videos I've seen of Engineer Pass or Ophir Pass in CO makes me wonder whether a Himalayan could tractor up those. Thanks for your videos. I have always liked your no nonsense reviews. Your editing and content have evolved and now they're actually humorous and entertaining, while remaining informative. Great job!!
@UncleVoodoo3 жыл бұрын
I think a Himalayan could easily handle the TAT. If and when I ever do it I'll probably take the Himalayan. My "Shoe Creek Part 2" video doesn't really show how steep that trail was, we couldn't even stop to set up cameras because there was no way to keep the bikes from falling back down due to the slope. There was also a road on my MABDR trip that was so steep I was a little worried to take it at first, but the Himy climbed it and didn't break a sweat. It won't win hillclimb events but I don't believe there is a road it can't handle.
