My personal opinion is that the bare Ali looks wrong. They need rubbers which would also prevent nasty bone bruises.

Nice! Always like seeing what the good folks at Motone (Hitchcock & Tec, as well) have in their product pipeline. Also appreciate the added clarity on why the RE INT650 was developed as it was. I've had no issues w/ any of the lever or pegs, either. Other than the gorgeous looks of this, I'm not sure why I'd get it. Thanks, Uncle Stu! #UncleStuRules!

EXACTLY ! I'm right with you on that one brother! I'm 6'2" with a 35" inseam and I can tuck in for hours at a time with this bike.... The cockpit is so roomy. Ride safe!

Now that's exciting.... Must have? Yes indeed. The pieces look the part and dam! They even managed to maintain pivoting foot pegs!!!! FANTASTIC ! As for price.... I paid $600 US, for custom fully adjustable rear-sets for an Aprilia I once owned. Lovely bike btw. A 2012 Shiver 750....and what a difference the fine tuning afforded by rear-sets makes, in finding that perfect human/machine interface. So Cuz you know it's as they say... ' the devil's in the details' . And thanks Stuart, for keep us all up to date in all things "Enfield"

These look beautiful. I'd like to see an anodized black for my Baker Express I think. Maybe be able to have the pegs in red might be kind of cool but if not just black. Will be watching to see when these actually come to market. I'm the same way though, I don't have any issues with my current setup, but they do get in the way when stopping for traffic lights or whatnot. I just keep my feet forward on the Interceptor when stopping.

Like you Stu, I have zero issues with the standard setup on the Enfield, I simply adapted my leg position for manoeuvring the bike about. I quite like these, but personally I would prefer then to have a rubber finish like the OEM units, as my experience of pure metal pegs has always been some vibration that gets damped out by the rubber (a bit). That being said, as I have no ‘problem’ to solve, I am unlikely to buy them anyway!
@stuartfillingham3 жыл бұрын
Vibration on an Interceptor?
@alanharris27993 жыл бұрын
@@stuartfillingham I don’t get any vibration on the interceptor, it was more a comment around bare metal pegs in general, if there is any vibration on a bike, they will transmit it! The Interceptor is possibly the smoothest bike I’ve owned, even better than my old Thruxton R!

You stated in the video that you're "not privvy" to other finishes, etc, so I hope you'll pass along to Motune that not all of us like the rounded pegs and shift/brake levers. Personally, I quite like the rubber-covered items and "flat" footpegs, so am hoping those are options as well. Thanks for making this video, Uncle Stu. The Interceptor footpeg issue has been one of the sticking points in my new bike decision and being quite short of inseam, a real concern.

Thanks for the update Stuart and for previewing what could be an essential mod. I have run into the problem of hitting my calf but was thinking maybe I shouldn’t sit on the bike to move it around.🙂 As you say the stock pegs snd leavers do the job, but it is one area that I would like to improve. Some brass elements would be good to go with the Motone valve caps I have on the bike. Cheers

Enjoyed the video , although I don't have trouble with my pegs , but one problem I've had is the brass rivets on my Johnny Reb boots , I've had to put velcro strips around the rivets on my right boot to stop scratching up my side case ! although moving the peg position back may solve this problem , it will be more expensive ! getting into Spring here in OZ , so even more riding , stay safe with the rubber syde down !

I do agree with the rubber, it looks more OEM, same can be said with the footpeg, doesn't look like you took off your gsxr1000 then either. it's not about cheap boots, not bothered about them. Without testing I fear that by the time I've messed about adjusting them they will end up where the continental GT ones are?? Nice one. Just looking at these in the video, I'd be concerned my feet would slip more easily from the Mojotone's rounded surfaces than from the flatter, more rectangular-shaped stock pegs. But that's just a visual take, and in practice perhaps it's not the case. Luckily for me, the stock pegs and peg placement function perfectly for my big feet and long legs. When walking the Interceptor while seated, I'm able to place my feet apart far enough that the pegs never touch my calves. I can see how these adjustable replacements would be welcomed by riders with shorter legs or more narrow stance.
