Royal Enfield Scram 411 Review: A lesson in taking it easy

This is one of my favourite motorcycle, easily my No.1 Scram specific, reviews on KZbin. You don't just read off the specs-sheet, you talk about real-world usage and application. Exactly how a review should be! Very sensibly done. A sensible review. Like not revving too loud, for the cow. Sensible ^^ I loved you trying to pronounce Himalayan in every possible way. Thanks for uploading mate, you've given a fantastic perspective on the Scram that no other review has given me. Buddy technically you've changed my life, for now I want one! ^^ Not because it's SENSIBLE, but because I've got a crash on my record driving my insurance up, so I need something.... sensible. Hmm. Hahaha

Just recently bought one and went through my first tank of fuel - it uses 2.2 litres per 100km. This is amazing. Mind you, I mostly stick to the break in speeds recommended in the manual and I am not using any highways (this is not the right bike for that, as you mentioned).

Great review! When I wanted to test ride a Himalayan, the only thing available was the Scram. I loved it. The reason I chose the Himalayan is the luggage options. I carry a lot with me. If there was a Himalayan option with the 19" front wheel I would grab it.

The rear luggage options I believe is the same for both, but the Himalayan has the added up front stuff. 👍

Since I want to buy one and have been watching lots of videos about it, some things you don't know, brakes - supposedly changing the brake pads seems to help a lot with brakes, regarding indicators I saw a looovely handlebar indicator set, IDK if it would be legal the place you live, but is so clean and sleek. There are also camshaft upgrades and air filter mount mods. They seem to help with giving it a bit of a power it lacks. The last thing was moving the air sensor to a different location because where it is it gets false readings.

Itll be a much nicer bike after about 2500klm. It’ll never be fast though. That’s not the point of this type of bike
