In life having a great partner is a dream come true. I realize that now at 65 y.o. You two seem to really enjoy each other's company and have fun in your adventures. My ex and I just came back from Durango, Colorado where we rode the Durango to Silverton Steam engine train. I enjoy watching your videos a lot. keep them coming.

An awesome trip. Thank you for an informative review. In April 1967,hubby finished his Air Force commitment. On our way back East,we stopped at the Royal Gorge. At that time,I remember the suspension bridge and the tram ride to the base to the river. I think that was the extent of it. I remember the wind was blowing and temperature being cool. I’d love to go back but it’s probably impossible. Thank you folks for allowing us to tag along. We appreciate you both.

I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Carson CO in 1969 and 1970. Some fellow GI's and I drove to Canon City CO and hiked into the Royal Gorge, all the way to the hanging bridge. We were all railfans and were hoping to catch some railroad action, but no such luck. Hard for me to believe I had the energy to hike that far and back, but it was 50 years ago. I get tired just thinking about taking hikes these days.

Cool Train. - Always amazed how a small world we live in sometimes. You're wearing your St. George shirt, here I am halfway across the country (Louisville, Ky.), and the Wife and I are getting ready to spend two weeks in that area (very old, small house rental which is naturally social distanced on Ochlocoknee Bay, just down the road), next week. Does anyone know how bad the Virus is in that area, it's really rural so I'm hoping there's not a problem with that.
@AbomAdventures4 жыл бұрын
It’s not bad there. You can look up the cases by country. The rural areas usually consist of cases being from tourists.
@Titus-as-the-Roman4 жыл бұрын
@@AbomAdventures , they don't have to worry about that from me. Since March 10th, I've only been beyond the perimeter of my yard 6 times, and those times were either Dr.'s visits or other medical procedures (and went straight home afterward), and they made me wait in the parking lot till they were ready for me, called, went into an empty waiting room wearing all appropriate gear with a high dollar bottle of sanitizer used liberally. I "B" taking no chances. Have been making the stock holders of Amazon Richer.

Great to see you kids so relaxed. These adventures are very enjoyable tho the beer tasting requires a bit of imagination. In another comment I wondered whether you were going to check out the ‘dragonman’ in Colorado Springs because he is a machinist and has quite the shop, museum and gun store, seemingly a tourist attraction. Take care.

Great video guys! I have lived within 45 minutes of this location my entire life and have never taken the ride. I'm going to have to put it on my list of things to do. Did you know that there was an actual war over who had the right to build the line through the gorge? Both D&RGW and Santa Fe railroads wanted it. Do a search for the Royal Gorge War to see more. See you next time.
@cruz47144 Жыл бұрын
I went on the Royal Gorge Train ride very nice, good lunch but it's a short trip. Travels up the rail fast but comes down very slow to give you a two hour ride otherwise the adventure would be over to quickly. Canon City is pretty run down city. The suspension bridge is very pricey considering all you do is walk over it and back for $60 bucks per person

I don't know that I could say one over the other as there are 2 different types of scenery. The only comparable trip to the Royal Gorge is the High Line of the Durango-Silverton.
