Royal Jewels at Le Bal des Débutantes

One reason for the extra popularity of Le Bal this year might have been the presence of 17-year-old exceptional singer Angelina Jordan - she has a large international fan base that was following her time at Le Bal. Another thing is that Angelina is not from a royal or ultra-rich family - but has contributed to charity since she was 8 years old and her grandmother, Mery, is a well respected artist and poet from Iran.

The one-shoulder red, one-shoulder steel blue gowns in the staircase photo on the left are my favourites! I'm sorry that some of these ladies have been victims of stupid online attacks by people simply because of their wealth or looks. If they have controversial families, it isn't their fault. People can be so needlessly vindictive.

It is so funny that you say that the bouffant is not coming back when Angelina Jordan's picture was up because she wears her hair up like that often, to bad she did not wear it up for this occasion. Just so you know a little more about Angelina Jordan, Yes she won Norway"s Got Talent when she was 8 years old but her winnings she donated to a children's charity as well as raising 21 million Euro for other children's charities she is also the youngest published author in Norway when she was 9 years old. it is the story of when she was 6 years old, meeting a young homeless girl in the Middle East who had no shoes, she gave her her favorite shoes she was wearing and sparked her interest in raising money for children's charities. And yes she is an amazing singer. She would have been much more famous but her parents wanted her to have a somewhat normal childhood, turning down Disney, and many others who wanted to sign her to a contract. Her parents would let her sing at charities, and some summer concerts. Nora Jones had her open a concert for her to 40 thousand fans, Quincy Jones had her sing "Fly Me To The Moon" this 85th Birthday gala. She has been signed by Republic Records at 14 but they promised not to promote her till she turns 18 which is next month January 10th. They have built Angelina her own studio in LA. Also she sang "Unchained Melody" at the Nobel Peace Prize this year, the second time she has sang for the event, she also sang "It Is A Wonderful World" when she was 8 years old.
