Morning Colin. I am fine with the CEAT’s, anyone who has ridden on Avon SM’s or Cheng Shin’s will tell you there’s nowt wrong with them 😂 I certainly don’t get ant judder off them, and as you know, I can ride pretty hard, on all manner of “supposed” tarmac surfaces. I recall saying pretty much this on one of the rides on my Classic 350. I do however get brand preferences…..I used to fit Dunlops to my bikes, but now will just replace like for like. As for the Hunter’s, knob heads appear in all countries.

Hi Ian, thanks for watching, you're right there's nothing wrong with them at all, in fact they have been extremely good and hard wearing, but I did think that with the guerrilla being classed as a roadster a set of road tyres would have been nice, again personal preference, when these have worn out as with all my other bikes, I'll fit mitchlin road , take care ........ Colin 😊

It's purely personal but I think RE got it bang on with the chunky style of tyre ...... they look absolutely right on this bike and the block tread is completely undetectable on smooth tarmac. In fact, the tyres are so good on grip (in the dry) and general ride stability, I would look to get another set when these wear out. I've done nearly 1700 miles on my Guerrilla (Playa Black) ....... brilliant machine, just wish it sounded a bit more raucous 😁 Cheers, Phil (UK)

Hi Phil, cheers for watching, your right, the grip on these tyres are great, I think it's me, over 50 years of mitchlin I'm addicted 😂😂, mine gets it 1st service next Tuesday, can't wait to get back on it, next job is to fit the engine bars, take care ......... Colin 😊

@@droneon29 I'd never heard of CEAT before I bought my first Royal Enfield (Hunter 350) nearly 2 years ago but have to say they seem pretty good although the Hunter tyres, which were narrower, did tram line a bit but these Guerrilla tyres don't tram line at all. Yeah, tyres are a bit of a personal thing, it's what we get used to ☺ Of course, I'm only judging the CEAT tyres, dry, as I try and avoid the wet ...... not a fan of bike cleaning 😊Good luck with your first service, it's really nice to relax and take it all the way up to 6000 rpm when you feel the need. To be honest Colin, even though mine's completely run in, I've not found the need to exceed 6000 rpm, the engine does all I need below 5500 rpm. Great little bikes and I find mine so comfortable for longer rides. Enjoying your videos, Colin, and love that spacious garage of yours!👍👍

Afternoon mate I’m with you change them out for a set of Michelin road 6 it will make it a superb handler I reckon, the chasse is on the levels at the bottom of the village sounds like I fire fight going on down there sometimes, we hate the chasse we have been walking chilli in the morning and deer and boar running for their lives across the road trying to escape the gunfire, so sad people enjoy it as a sport 🙁. We had rain last night and which wasn’t forecast 😳 but a bit of sun this afternoon, hope your pups ok bless him nothing more distressing than seeing your dog being attacked, later 👍 Pete🇫🇷

Evening Pete, yep, Michelin 6 would be an excellent choice, hunters are a breed all on their own, l wouldn't want to spoil anyone's fun, but how that can be classed as enjoyable, watching animals suffer is beyond me, luckily the old girl is ok, ...... Colin ☺️

You should get very good mileage from the rear tire if you have a look at the continuous ribbon of rubber with no tread. As for road rubber great on smooth roads interesting on french gravel routes

I have Mitas Enduro Trail E-07's ("adventure") tyres on my Himy, front and rear, and that's because I like to do country lanes when I can. She slides around like an eel on the originals. I did 3000 kms earlier this year from the Pyrenees to Devon to Manchester to Essex to Holland and back to the Pyrenees and not once did I notice or was bothered by any bobbling from the tyres. Mind you, I also have an unbaffled Lextek exhaust! Nah, tyre noise has never been an issue for me, also not when I first bought her when she had the original factory CEAT tyres. About the hunters: yeah, I'm in the middle of nowhere too and I've had them on my land (3 ha) and I've been out there and given them a piece of my mind. My threat was "you have been warned, if I have one of your hunting dogs on my land again I will not hesitate to shoot it". They don't know I have no gun! But seriously, you're absolutely entitled to say so and carry that threat out. I'm not a hunter and, like you, I abhor the sport. Blah blah blah yeah it's part of their culture, so was bear baiting, dog fighting and witch burning and we gave that up a long time ago. Find out who your local "Président de l'Association de Chasse" is and have a word with him. Tell him how you feel. Take a neighbour if you can. I'm on very good terms with mine, he's my neighbour!! 😂😂😂 Frank

Hi Frank, a very interesting post, through my daughter who's fluent in french (I'm awful) we've sent the president an email outlining our concerns, hopefully he will answer, I'm not one to complain, but this is taking the Mick, tyres are a strange topic, i think it is totally down to the individual, I've never had a problem with the orignal tyres, i just think on the Guerrilla it's the wrong choice....... Colin ☺️

I know how the change of tyres felt on my Meteor 350. Going for Michelin, Road Classic on front and Road 6 on rear. ( Road 6 not available on the front) I didn’t see if Road 5’s are available front n rear. This has given the bike a night n day difference over the standard Ceat. A no brainer! 😊 Would have to think, that this be the same on your bike too, Colin.😊

Hi mark, just changed out my Ceats for Metzelers road tec on my classic, like you say night and day difference, the Ceats looked like they we’re fine loads of tread etc but felt like hoops of concrete compared to the road Tec, at 8000+km especially in the change of direction, my suspension feels plusher, it tracks better, doesn’t get it knickers in a twist in the bends, even brakes better, just wish they made a matching pair of Michelins, that fitted the classic, best mod I’ve done 😂…..Pete 🇫🇷

On the tyres ..it was the first thing I noticed on this Roadster .....I have 2 mates with them .and they love the bikes both said they didn't really notice the tyres ? Strange. Just a small point we Are still in Europe and never left however we are not in the eu anymore ...next point we always stay in remote places in France it's what we like I not a raving anti hunt loon just as I get older ..well I'm not a fan and having seen badger hunting in France ...just no ! But those men in the van are in a lot of places ....so are the Marie's.
@droneon297 күн бұрын
Hi, as I said the tyres I think have to be down to personal choice, as I said, I've nothing against the brand, your right, the men in the vans are everywhere in France along with the Marie's, but living here in the community full time for over twenty years I do not expect them or their dogs to intrude into my property, The UK is still geographically part of Europe after Brexit, but it is no longer part of the European Union (EU)......... If you look around at the way Custom bikes are coming out, they seem to love big fat tyres. Its a fashion statement! Royal Enfield are trying to attract younger riders. Nowadays fashion is more important than function. Us poor old sods just have to put up with it as we slowly go the way of the Dinosour.

@@recidivist11 , again I have to agree with you, 😂😂, and I fully understand why royal enfield need the young riders, especially as we plod along doing our own thing, you never know these chunky tyres just may grow on me, thanks for the comments, take care ....... Colin ☺️

Maybe people will disagree, and that’s ok, but…my gut feeling when I saw the Guerrilla was that it’s a Scram…not a Hunter. However I think you can treat it as either…so keep these Ceats if you like the Scram idea, or change to proper road tyres if you’re going to think of it as a ‘roadster’. Now I’m lol…just thinking about the feedback🤣😀👍

I live in rural Devon. We have loads of simpletons who like to dress up in tweed to spend a day outsmarting pheasants and other famously intelligent birds! It's really a fairly harmless (unless you're a bird) habit, which has more to do with social climbing than a taste for bird flesh - indeed, many of the unfortunate recipients of lead shot are buried rather than eaten! That is unforgivable.
