1st of all....this man is one of, if not the most, underrated lyricist ever. Royce lays down the most savage bars, that are seriously cold as hell. When you break down his lyrics, or listen to the break downs online, you can see how gangster his shit truly is. Listen to the original version of renegade with Royce on it, he took it in a completely different direction then Jay Z took it and murdered it. Much respect for your music and for getting sober and putting it out there for others to draw strength from. It's big for kids to hear a celebrity of this caliber and in this culture, being real about addiction and recovery. Much respect.

Key words here to how he got sober folks: "I had a spiritual experience" .... Only a spiritual experience can save someone who was hopeless. Nothing else

Leave it to people like you to belittle the amazingness of sheer human will power. We don't have to look to a God for everything.

in honesty that "spiritual" experience may have started the drive, but deep down it was just mental all along. That was just the trigger, but he had to put in the efforts for. all those years.

Religion is a means to control the masses and weak minded people. God , however, is just a misnamed notion for the unknown energy/chi/life force/prana , whatever you want to call it , that exists in the universe. Do not discredit the universe when it is really the man-made religion which is the downfall to society, not the belief in god or a higher power. BIG difference. All of the main religions practiced today have its roots embedded in Egyptian mythology. Anybody who has done their research can see this is a well known point. It is clear you have done almost none and simply take on the whole "I know everything because im atheist" approach. And science cannot "destroy" religion because there are forces in the universe which cannot be explained by science. That is the difference between the man made religion and the 'god' , if that's what you want to call it. But to act like there is no such thing as unknown forces in which we live and adhere to, because science doesn't have a man made explication for, is just plain ignorant.

Once you overcome something that at the time feels nearly impossible to overcome- like addiction….and you see how strong you can actually be, and you really take a hard long look at your shortcomings-and learning how to change that, and have success at doing that- then it becomes natural to want to share that hope with others. We do recover❤️

+Kenny Porter I specified with the word "skill". I'm not commenting on his discography. I'm talking about in a cipher or over a beat based on the ability to rap few can keep up with him. He's unconventional while hyper-technical at the same time.
