You dumbass lol. He was saying the serenity prayer, it's the prayer addicts use to overcome addiction and recover. I'm an addict in recovery, sober for 8 years, it was weed that destroyed my life. Weed is the major cause for psychosis and schizophrenia, which leads to suicide, hard drugs, etc etc. 3% of the people that smoke weed daily , will develop psychosis. I recommend you stop. before it is too late. I actually think it's way more than 3%. A lot of people that smoke weed can smoke their whole lives without issues, but they are usually on medication as well. But the majority of people can smoke without problems. Anyway, what you said is extremely disrespectful, because it's making fun of someones descent to hell. I was in hell for 25 years, friend, that prayer saved me. Miracles do happen, I'm living proof. Just be more responsible and respect others. Much love from Portugal. Peace. Namaste.

Exactly. Every time I've gotten sober I was busted and pretty much homeless with nothing. I remember one time I had about 6 smokes left and about 35 cents to my name. Dont do opioids kids, dont do them ever. I've been hooked on heroin for the last 12 years with little bouts of sobriety in there. I've overdosed, been homeless, stay away from opioids. I would experiment with all other drugs except for opioids. But I know one thing, I would have never quit if I had money. I've spent the last 40 dollars to my name many times. I couldn't imagine having millions. I would definitely be dead if I had that kind of money.

Just remember that you are strong enough to face your emotions, rehab has prepared you for everything the world might throw at you, it's like becoming a Spartan, ready for everything, fearlessly. Don't let yourself get affected by others, if you let someone offend you, you make them masters of your mind and you are the master of your own mind. Be patient, you will feel more powerful then you can ever have imagined. If you get cravings, remember that it only lasts a few minutes, so just focus on your breath, mind in the present moment. If you feel anxiety or stress, just focus and tell yourself that it's only adrenaline, it's energy you can use for good. Practice gratitude, research Stoicism and remember "Feeling good is good enough", its a great time be alive. Stay strong and sober, don't risk losing what you struggled so much to achieve and enjoy the freedom, enjoy life, love life, be the eye of the storm, always serene. If emotions get overwhelming , just focus and repeat this "There is no emotion, only serenity". Everything is well. And don't allow self pity in your mind. The worst has passed, it gets easy as you get stronger. For those who fight for it,life has a flavour the sheltered will never know. Winners don't use drugs. Peace brother.

My sister is an addict. she doesn't mean that it was straight. I remember holding my sister as she shook at night screaming in pain....shed cry so hard she'd sleep for 15 to 30 min a DAY. But she look like death....she wasn't so keeping up with sleep a day enough to SAY she slept. Then shed be up for 3 days STRAIGHT but shed get that 15 to 30 And do another 2 to 3 days. It was so hard on her....on myself and mother as well. not only did I have my 2 year old there, I had to care for HER barely one year old (born addicted). I got as much sleep as she did. So, that's what she means. it's not enough sleep to call it sleep. My sister relapsed and had 2 more addicted babies. One was adopted and the other she used subutex on.....which made it not so bad on the baby as my first niece(I'm not saying this is good or better to do, you shouldn't do a damn thing while pregnant imo but she needed help and that comment was only due to what I saw in reference to the babies days in nicu) She's still on subutex but I have my suspicions. Therefore my son and I are not seeing her. but yeah, the sleep thing isn't straight.

I too am from the UK and got addicted to heroin at the very young age of 12years old, got on crack at 14 and methadone also at 14. I was started on 110ml and managed to reduce all the way down to 22mls but then something really bad happened in my life which caused me to relapse and started using again ☹️ but I managed to get my Meth put bk up and I'm currently on 75mls but doing great! .... Addiction is the hardest fight I've ever had and I know I will have to fight it all my life

I v been in a 12 step fellowship for 30 years, This is a rock bottom and its unique to ourself and personal to our own soul, I am so grateful to you getting help, you are an inspiration to the messed up people addicts of the world, I prayed for you 10 years ago so you could start rappng about healing, healing is what the addict needs as one I am a sex and love addict alcoholic and had suffering much in my childhood rapes and from my parents then bullied, I had to forgive them all and start to heal with 12 steps fellowships and shamans,church,medium ship,listening to courses on being an em path and psychic and find out who I am and loving myself for all I am is the key to forgive people for just being a human and myself for taking over from my abusers to abuse myself was necessary for the deep healing to happen,I did it I still do it peace is had and I am alive at peace love me for all I am I don,t need to be perfect at all,I already am ,I am me no one els is that I love me.I am here to tell you pain is ok just don't blame people for what you are now because of landmark and programs of recovery steps,writing my books and going to places to heal that my catholic upbringing forbid was essential or I would have died.I am free.bless you all ask for help if your suffering you are special and worth more than what others told you as a child, they are wrong,your amazing.

I feel for eminem. Was a huge fan of him as a kid but truthfully I don't really listen to his new music. But I still have mad respect for him. He use to be so confident and didn't give a f about most things. That's what benzos do though. Give you crazy confidence and make you feel super relaxed about everything. They're great for rappers, who have to perform. Because being loose goes hand in hand with putting on a good show. For him to quit, and have to re learn his motor functioning skills and how to even talk again. And go back to performing infront of thousands of people without the drugs is just amazing tbh. That rebound anxiety from when you quit the benzos hits hard. Going from not giving a fuck, to over thinking every thing and giving a fuck way more than you should about every thing. When rappers rely on valium or xanax to calm them, make them feel loose and can perform like a wizard. To not having that drug and be expected to do what you've been doing I couldn't imagine the anxiety that causes. I got so anxious just to go to my shitty job once I quit benzos. I do wonder how em felt that first time he went on stage sober. I do remember lots of fans my age saying he was better when he was on drugs. They want slim shady back. Damnn. He's done so well. Shame there's still people suffering from this. Juice wrld was so talented, check his 1 hour freestyle over eminem beats. Truly off the top, and kills it. In alot of his songs he references pills, xanax ect.. 'let's be foreal, if it wasn't for the pills I wouldn't be here. But if I keep taking these pills I won't be here' & 'I start taking the drugs and then the drugs take me' .. Mac miller be another great who died way too young. Such a good soul too. & Lil peep. Rip to all of them. There's probably many more I don't know about. But mad respect for eminem to get off that shit and keep doing what he loves doing.

So real, so powerful, so raw and very emotional. I’m in recovery from being on heroin and crack cocaine and I’m on a methadone script now. I overdosed once and my husband saved my life and my sister overdosed on heroin on my kitchen floor, neither of these things stopped me. Addiction IS a disease and it is the hardest thing to go through recovery. You don’t get a day off and you’re forever an addict, you have to work at being sober every single day. What people don’t understand is how it affects your whole family, your friends, your loved ones. Drugs and addiction is the work of the devil, that disease takes you to hell and zaps you of every ounce of your being, destroys your soul. To everybody in recovery or in active addiction I send you love and prayers and just know there is light through the darkness 🙏🏼❤️

If any of you need information on methadone maintenance and the difference between opiates, opioids, drug testing, half life of medication, please let me know and I will be more than happy to get real information to you people so you don't get confused by people who may be misinformed. I think that one thing we can all agree on is that addiction is hell not only for the person afflicted but for the people who care about them and that harm reduction is a great start to living a normal life.

Casandra Bullock once you get off methadone how long does withdrawals last? How long until someone can get their sleeping schedule back again? How long will the physical systems go away? If someone is tapping off when they are completely off will withdraws get worse?
@helenalford2831
@helenalford2831 5 жыл бұрын
Withdrawal from methadone can take a couple of weeks for the main part but realistically it can be weeks or months to get any sort of normality in how you feel. Some people never get a good sleep routine back. If you are on a high dose you should get medical help to come off it. If you are on less than 60mls you can taper off and it will help reduce the shock to your system but you are still going to have the same sort of withdrawal. The most important thing I think is to give it recognition that it's the hardest thing you will ever do and healing yourself has to be the main focus of your life for a long time. Nothing else is as important. If you are dependent on methadone you should definitely get medical help.
