It never gets old.....everything they do has the ability to make you move. Saw them live Monday night (16/10/23) in Warsaw, Poland. Incredible concert, amazing sound and lighting. Impressed by how hard they worked. Not your ordinary DJ set where twiddling with the mixing desk controls is just part of the act. These guys were playing synths and percussion throughout the whole concert. If you haven't seen them live yet, make sure you do, it's really worth the trip.

I dont even like pop music. But Robyn always seem to weasle her way past my defences. For some reason I cant deny her brilliance. She really is one of a kind, all the way down to her absolutely unicorn voice. She is a true artist. That said, pairing her up with Röyksopp must be on of the best team ups the entertainment industry has ever seen. Its like the all unique qualities Robyn possess as a singer, dancer and stage persona, they have in electornic sound. It feels like the exact same "genius" energy, only in the instrumentals instead of the persona. Its kinda eerie how well this all fits, almost a little vit to perfect.

Pull back out, So that I can see. Let go of How you knew me. Let go of What I used to be. I will let this monument Represent a moment of my life Life, life Of my life Life, life Of my life I will let this monument Represent a moment of my life Life, life Of my life Life, life Of my life Make a cast Of my body. Some of the Royksopp tracks have some strange feeling of "not that decent track" when I hear them for the very first time, but also have a feeling of "this track is seriously good", at the same time. The thing happens when I play the track for the second time due to the second feeling, then I'm stuck with it literally for years. I don't know if this happens from the stuff you guys take but your creativity is beyond the avarage human possibilities. I think creativity is the most valuable power of homo sapiens. there is an interesting audio-visual juxtaposition here. the lyrics reflect on death and how to treat one after one's passed away; "this will be [her] monument", she declares. what is "this"? in the context of royksopp and robyn, it'll be the incredible musical legacy that the former left. the video, however? tight shots of the musicians and their fans enjoying what might be the best parts of their lives: performing, travelling, and meeting fans. the ultimate irony: the final verse finds robyn (and, presumably, royksopp as well) pleading with the listener to "make a cast of [their bodies]"--so the world is familiar with "an echo of what I used to be". the beat picks up again, with a fabulous synth solo that wraps up the track beautifully. royksopp and robyn never died--they "did it all with love", and we're all still around to hear the incredible music they make.
