If anything, deleting cats makes it more reliable, and those newer VAG and BMW cars always take a bunch of boost and extra power without affecting driveability or reliability in a negative way, basically just as if it was stock without any downsides but more hp.

Going catless even without tuning for it certainly makes a difference on these things as you saw. I did that on my plebe-spec A4 and it hit boost a lot quicker and the power band was smoothed out as well. Dream daily that RS6, cant wait to see more of it!

For installing V-bands, (i've only used them on aircrafts) but it is to tighten the band, the hit it with a hammer around the band and tighten again 3x. For each hit the nut or bolt should be looser because the hammer will hit it in tighter. Yes this is how you tighten v-bands on pneumatics sections of aircrafts. We do use the torque recommended.
