A friend of mine had the same car performance pack on a 65 plate, luckily he paid the extra for a audi extented warranty. Same thing with the oil had top it up on the way from Leeds 50miles journey. It was a problem with the piston rings 25k job in Audi no lie hope its just the turbo for you mate.

Hi just suggestion for next time your best off to prime the fuel pumps prior to starting otherwise it’ll run dry hence the initial noise you heard when you started the vehicle up on 18:26 metallic ticking noise was the camshaft dry rubbing against the new followers which causes the excessive wear on the cam followers 👍🏽

Hey mate - The Oil Pump O-Rings and Coolant Pipes are "age" related failures so lots of cars are now starting to see one or both of these as they hit 7-8 years old. These are common with the cars. The oil pump o-rings can be replaced without removing the engine but it's still at £1000 job (vs £2500 to pull the engine) but the coolant pipes need the engine out, regardless of what some Audi tech's have mentioned! That is about it, once those two engine out issues are sorted the car is extremely reliable, although a low battery can cause all kinds of electrical gremlins so be careful there! Hope this helps

That’s the worst thing about expensive Cars people drive the hell out of them and then they go and blow the turbos and they don’t get them serviced because they think having an expensive car excludes the fact they need to service my dad was a manager at Audi and he had someone say “I paid lots of money for this car it shouldn’t need to be serviced” people like you actually deserve these cars because you know how they work 👍

I understand things can often go wrong with car engines for no apparent reason. But it seems to me some of these high end cars are just properly rinsed out and abused by their owners. Therefore causing a lot of unnecessary damage which could've been avoided.

I got a similar problem with my Astra it turns off at slow speeds and on idle got told it’s a heat sensor which is expensive that’s causing it.... don’t know if it is after watching this video with only £80 spent
