The video makes it so easy to assemble this grill. I put mine together by myself with no issues at all. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Just put one together yesterday. Easy Peasey, and my left hand was in a total cast as I had hand surgery on December 18th. Of course I had help, from my wife’/s 87 year old Aunt. I’m 68, been around tools all my life so, there’s that but, you’re only screwing fasteners into metal. Last night I ran it for the first time at 500 degrees for 7 hours, slo I could season the griddle attachment I also bought with it. Later today I’ll fry a lb. of bacon on it for a 10 egg Mexican breakfast casserole that’ll finish in the kitchen oven. FWIW, this is my 2nd Rec Tec pellet grill. The first I still have and use (a lot) & I don’t recall the model number but, it’s been 100% reliable. Nothing ever broke on it. In case anyone is wondering why I bought the Bullseye, I wanted a traditional round grill in the images of a Weber grill, but fired via wood pellets. Although I’ve only ran this new grill 7 hours so far (@ 500 degrees Fahrenheit non stop), I’m totally impressed with it. Thank you Rec Tec, you so rock!

I can’t wait to assemble mine today. Recteq makes an outstanding product. I have had their 700 for a year now. Now adding the bullseye to the arsenal. On a side note: did anyone else notice they cross-threaded the crap out of the left most lid bolt? I cringed a little.

A co-worker with another brand of pellet grill recommended the Recteq Bullseye after asking what I was looking for and how it would be used. I am glad he did.

these are really easy to put together but the metal caps for the legs people are having problems with find a deep well socket that will fit on the outside edge then use the hammer goes on easy

Those so-called metal caps are junk, I used hex nuts you would think they would spend 40 cents and add nuts and get rid of those POS Caps
@mrbogus20422 жыл бұрын
I used one of the larger plastic hammer and they want easy. I did think if they fall off I’ll be putting some nuts on these.

Couldn’t agree more. I literally just ordered a Bullseye today and saw that metal cap nonsense. As long as you don’t move it, it MIGHT not fall off.

Just put mine together. Easy for the most part but i too, like many others, had legs that dont really line up and tight threads. Had to use a drill to get the screws in.

I just put mine together and had the same issue. Actually snapped one of the fasteners off and another one cross thread and wouldn't come out. Seems to be standing up fine though.

Just ordered mine yesterday. Got the grill , cover, and 200lbs of pellets for $526 after tax! Went to Costco and the Traeger Rep happened to be there and was trying to sell me. Gave it all of about .5 seconds of thought. First time buyer here, fingers crossed!! Can't wait for it to come. Really want the round griddle, maybe Christmas will drop some deals!

@@LAAM619 excellent. 0 issues. I've smoked and just grilled on it, both with success. I did buy a smoke/pellet tube from Amazon. It's just a mesh tube you fill with pellets and it adds a little more smoke to your cook when you do low and slow, but not necessarily needed. If you want more of a smoker, get the next size up to get a little better smoke flavor, but this isn't bad at all. Great customer support too. Also with the cover, it has no rust or wear on it. Slight discoloration from the heat on the lid, but that's normal and not bad at all. Meaning it has a slight copper tinge to it.
@mrbogus20422 жыл бұрын
I had to use a combination of both to assemble. Using the video I missed which way to put the hinge and assembled upside down. After checking manual I could see it was backwards. However, nowhere in the manual explains installing the lid spacer or about the thermometer.
@charlespartak24352 жыл бұрын
If you watched the assembly video it explains both of those

@tonylamanaca98898 күн бұрын
Sir I was a machinist as I put myself through engineering school, there not enough threads for the 3 hole legs. It’s a tin cover for Auger mounting. I was lucky 3 of 6 times. Very poor stability
@charlespartak24352 жыл бұрын
Just finished assembling the grill. I was short 1 of the silver bolts. I left the middle hole of the lid side of the hinge open because of it. What size is it. Ill just find one at the hardware store or work.
@JohnnyNoNo572 жыл бұрын
stupid question buuut... how long is the electrical cable?... my outlet is on the side of the deck that will not accommodate placing the grill there... so I am going to probably need and extension cord.
@tonylamanaca98898 күн бұрын
Very thin tin & the wheel post are threaded, why would you force a cupped end by hammer/force. ? I will be purchasing other well made grill in future.

I think I got the wrong bottom tray or wheel legs. They don’t lineup with each other (the flat parts of the legs don’t run parallel to each other - they end up at a weird angle. I’ve rotated them every possible way so I’m sure I somehow got the wrong legs

I appreciate the quality of your products, but would it be so hard for you to just put the hardware in separate bags instead that garbage plastic packaging. Every time I try to open those stupid packs the hardware goes everywhere and I get so frustrated that I just want to start throwing stuff. Seriously please think about it.

Anyone having trouble with the leg screws during assembly? The threads are just that bad perhaps? I can’t even get 1 of 3 screws a quarter of the way in.

Yes I’m having trouble with the small screws. None of mine are able to screw in fully so it’s loose. Not sure if mines faulty
@calebmitchell46083 жыл бұрын
I'm also having a lot of trouble with the the second leg screws that require the washers. My regular drill will only get them in about a 1/4 of the way, so I may have to get an impact drill and see how that works.
@calebmitchell46083 жыл бұрын
Just to update you, I used an impact drill to get the screws in and that got the job done. Don't feel like I should have to use an impact drill but it is what it is.

@@calebmitchell4608 Sheesh. I also used a nice drill to get them in. Pretty damn annoying, but it works I guess. So far, thats been my only complaint after my first 6 weeks with it.

Any chance of making it more portable? I've narrowed down 2 portable pellet grills for camping and I would love something like this, but it has to fit under the tonneau cover to be considered. I have a much larger(other brand) pellet grill for the house that I use all the time, and would like to cook the same when we camp. I like the idea of the Bullseye because of the cooking flexibility. Thanks

@mightyjoeyoung13907 ай бұрын
Great assembly video and overall a very high quality grill. HOWEVER -the wheel and stand leg caps should either be REPLACED with nylock nuts or they should provide deeper ones as the caps included are ABSOLUTELY JUNK. I will be replacing them with either lock nuts or better caps. C'mon guys. Do better. They literally hold the grill up and you use the worst possible part to do it?
@daveonezero62582 жыл бұрын
The manual has some of the worst instructions I've ever seen. Step 3 says nothing about washer and lock washers. You have to go back to the parts list to even know they are needed here. Someone needs to change the diagrams and the parts list and show in the written section where and when to use the hardware. I shouldn't have to watch this video. They need to match. Even in this video it shows the black screw not the silver in the diagram. Then in the actual video you can see it is the silver screw.
