It was just a string of accidents that turned deadly. No wonder Regina cracks at the end, she 'caused' this by pulling an innocent prank on Bat and then he decided it was a good moment to do the Lion trick, and I imagine Regina didnt even realize it would be a bad idea, and so on spiraled. I'm surprised that *big top* of all cases was the one I have most personal input on, with the theater kid comment and now this, but here we go I guess. I was also sixteen when I lost a direct family member, and I will agree that I don't think Regina is coping quite *yet;* I think it's possible that what we're seeing from her could also be shock. In the first few days, or, in my case, the first week your loved one dies, you are unable to process what just happened properly because it's only just happened. I remember constantly wondering if my loved one was dead or not, and being confused, convinced my mind was playing tricks on me. When we get to the case, Russel Berry has just died the night before, and we end two days later. Moe has not given Regina enough time to see if this is shock or something much worse. I do definitely agree that the writers were trying to go the direction of Regina being unable to cope, though. They set her up as living in this fantasy of a circus, where she really does believe puppets live and talk. It's just sad that they overlooked this part of grieving.

Like Jesus Christ we went from funny haha clown joke bad to "My brother was put into a coma 6 months ago, during the same incident in which I was paralyzed from the waist down. The person who I felt was responsible had such a naïve view of the world it made me feel like my brother's (metaphorical) death was just a joke to them, adding salt to the wound. I contemplated killing myself but my brother was still technically alive and it kept me going, I came up with a twisted justification for killing the person and tried to, but in a tragic turn of events I ended up accidentally killing the man I could never repay for his kindness in taking me in and raising me when my parents abandoned me as a child." It's a perfectly tragic story and one of only a few cases that I can think of where you can actually kind of sympathize for the killer. It's just a shame that the writer had a little too much to drink (literally) and everything else kinda sucks.

@Kefkaesque13 Жыл бұрын
@@mahapatrasohammThat was never really true, and is even less true now than when you first heard it. Yes, the federal/national age consent in Japan used to be 13, but every prefecture has their own additional laws to push it higher. For example, the effective age of consent in Tokyo is 18, though other locations can go as low as 16 or as high as 20. The federal/national age of consent also isn't even 13 anymore, as they raised it to 16 last June.

I feel like this case could have been one of the best in the entire series if not for just missed potential and bad writing. The premise of everyone being mourning and wracked with grief for their loved ones within in the circus and doing horrific things because of that is actually amazing, it would be a great basis for using a real life problem many people struggle with, grief, as an anchor for the entire case. Furthermore, I feel like they really missed something with Von Karma's purpose in defeating Wright being to bring back Edgeworth. *And this is something that really irks me.* Seriously: I was watching this episode imagining that at the end there'd be a super dramatic point where Fransziska just snaps and starts screaming about bringing Miles back, which in turn makes Wright snap and go on a rant to her face about how she's not the only one who misses him and just telling her "Edgeworth is dead, Fransziska. Nothing you or I do can bring him back". All in court of course so the Judge can even hop in. But no. We get nothing. Just the twist of Edgeworth not being dead. They had so many opportunities to turn this around and make it undisputably the best case (so far). Instead they decided they'd drop all of that for a clown and a puppet.

THE WRITING IS PERFECT THE CASE ITSELF IS PERFECT ITS THE BEST CASE IN THE FRANCHISE
@2000-very-small-ants3 жыл бұрын
YES OH MY GOD phoenix and franziska having a confrontation in court would literally have been perfect. it would have shown franziska’s caring side AND would give us more backstory into her and miles’ relationship while under von karma’s roof, not to mention that it would have brought phoenix and franziska closer and the player would have more sympathy for her. in addition, it would have shown how much phoenix truly cares about miles and would have made it more angsty for both franziska and phoenix when they find out he’s not actually dead. it would have also been a great parallel to the case, as they both involve a family grieving the loss of a loved one. anyway i’m sure there’s a fanfic of this somewhere lmao

Why the hell did Daryan want money when he’s clearly already rich? Then there’s also the ridiculous leaps in logic like everybody thinking the blind kid shot the guy. And Valant and Trucy not telling you valuable information because “muh magician’s secrets” And then they make you watch the goddamn unskippable concert video 50 times.
