Well, if they have a large enclosure with a varied environment and enough bedding/different textures, they don't really get depressed. Even if the obstacle course mazes technically won't hurt them, they might still stress them a lot, especially since they can't choose when they want to leave and go back into their enclosure like they can in a playpen (my hybrid dwarf hamster boy lets me know he wants back in his enclosure by only scrabbling in a specific corner of the playpen and then climbing up my arm when I put it in, if I offer otherwise he just pushes past it). Those obstacle course maze things aren't good for hamsters in any situation, they only cause extra stress since the hamster usually doesn't know what's going on and doesn't have a choice in the matter. Lots of hamster content online sadly isn't actually too great for them and their image as fun furry toys :(

Fun fact: That spin move at 18:04 has a hitbox. You can actually KO Shy Guys and other enemies at the very end of the spin, by smacking your backpack into them so hard they die. Page 8 of the Super Mario Bros. manual says that only the Bricks Blocks that Mario CAN’T break (the ones that give you coins/items) are the transformed citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. As well as that, when Peach was rescued she used her magic to turn them back to normal, so all of the blocks in later games aren’t Toads either.

Hey RT you should play Salt and Sanctuary! It is an incredible 2d souls like game that came out a while ago and flew under the radar. I love the game and it even has a multiplayer mode that you can use through the whole game (only local though).
