Also, I can appreciate the crossover point; 60hz and above being handled by the quad set of 10"s, so punch and articulation are in good hands, and yet the upper end of the 18"s still contribute as well (with the low inductance, they're contributing quite nicely at 60hz). Cool stuff

Way way way out of my price range but it’s nice to see high end speakers that aren’t built with magic dust or some sort of other strange elements. They don’t try to be art pieces or some sort of luxury CNC aluminum furniture. It’s like a pro cinema speaker scaled to perform in a home environment with the highest end components he could build or source. Jeff just needs to convince enough super high end HT integrators to install his $60000 worth of speakers versus someone else’s. Marketing is half the battle in these markets. These don’t have the floor presence or cache of something like a B&W 700s or 800s. These things scream all extreme engineering and performance which is a lot harder to sell then luxury and beauty.

I wonder if my Yamaha RX A2080 can power these 😅
@kingscinema38733 жыл бұрын
Can :) I have A3080 and in the beginning used it - and its capable if you dont go to very high levels. However its better to drive them with some separate, stron amplifier. Then you are sure you will not damage the speakers, you get enough headroom, and less distortion.
