Explaining some things: - Pitou cries because is the first time the king "count on her", not an order, not an obligation, he counts on her like a friend to another, and that from the pure chimera ant perspective is imposible to happen, for the king to count on another chimera ant like a friend. - With that point, and the malice in Meruem aura and face after Dragon Dive hurts Komugi, you can see how important is she for the king. -When the hunters enter the palace, Dragon Dive falls and everyone except Gon stops for a fragment of second, the narrator says that no one knows if Melleoron and Knuckle die in God Accomplice, and if that happen, no one knows if the nen dissapears if that happen (cause, when you die, nen is more powerful if you have an strong emotion at that time), so in the worst case scenario that Gon think in that fraction, they die, and he have to deal with Youpi. When Shoot realizes Gon rapid adaptation on that limit circumstances, he glorify him, cause he's s perfect Hunter at that moment. - You can see how Meruem matures mentally.

Not really. There are times where he just literally says what is obvious or what we see. It's too much, not all people are so slow to not get what's happening in front of their screen. Some narrations are unnecessary it actually takes out the tension that's been building up while watching a certain scene.

The scene between Meruem, Pitou, Zeno, Netero, and Komugi is my favorite scene in the entire series hands down. I mean they had to literally censor the look on Meruem's face because just imagine how distraught, angry, concerned, and defeated he must have looked all in one expression. Which was something so human so divine that even Zeno a man who has killed people without mercy for his entire life was unable to interfere or even attempt to sully something so beautiful. Netero a man who discovered the secret beyond strength was gratitude for said strength could not even speak at the sight of this act of love. Pitou having a somewhat telepathic link with Meruem her entire being was created to protect the King, and seeing him in such a state left her dumfounded beyond concerned. Then out of the blue Meruem looks to her trusting completely in her abilities, believing in her, and as he said "I'm counting on you." Having to hear that from the one person in the entire world that she wanted to protect tell her and only her that he trusted her overwhelmed her with emotion showing that deep down Pitou held love in her heart for Meruem , and his love for Komugi then became Pitou's number one priority in that moment. The only other scenes I would put in the same ball park are 2 that have yet to happen but I will get to them when the RTTV crew gets to those episodes. Hint: One involves Gon & Pitou, and the other Killua & his sister.

The breakdowns and narrations in this show are godly. I feel like a lot of people fly through anime and don't take the time to really see and listen to what is happening so lots of the great writing that goes into it gets glossed over. But with this anime between the breakdowns and narrations they connect just enough dots so viewers can see the method behind stuff happening and can truly appreciate the story without having their hand held throughout.

The reason Netero and Zeno was shocked was because what the King did was an act of care for a life. A supposed savage killing thousands has regards for a life. So they were shocked. You could it brings to question everything because the King might have some humanity left in him or awakened in him.

Thats why the narrator says that both Zeno and Netero are witnessing an act of pure love towards another being. And thats part of the reason Pitou's shocked, because it cannot believe what it is seeing. And also because the King ask her and adds "I'm counting on you" which is the peak of any Chimera Ant's royal guard.

the thing about gon's character is that he SEEMS the most open and easy to understand, but we rarely get to hear his thoughts or get insight about how his mind works -- just like you all pointed out. this is a consistent aspect of the show. and killua tends to not express himself openly as often, but we get to hear his thoughts and inner feelings way more. it's an interesting dynamic that's VERY intentional i believe, because it makes gon a little more unpredictable

AAAAAAAAAAAAH. I'm so excited for these following episodes. 116, 125, 126, 131, and 135 especially, those episodes are wow. Even 127. HxH is a social commentary on society, remember that. Your reactions these episodes were amazing. I never thought you'd react to HxH even if I had been asking for that since you started doing anime reactions (I started with you with BTS!!!! With your *FIRST* BTS reaction, that's how long I've been with you), and the fact that we're here now, well makes me a bit nostalgic. I honestly watch HxH at least once a year, that's how much I love that show, and I re-read my favorite chapters every once in a while. I love the Narrator, I know a lot of people hate it, but I love breaking down things. It's just amazing. Makes it more epic, imo.
