Frame gen makes the game feel much worse than the FPS number suggests. You can feel that the game is actually running at 80, not 120. It's just a gimmick really.

imo I think it feels fine as long as your not playing shooters. But shooters don't tend to need frame gen for high fps.

Gimmick for you** It works very well with single-player games, and the very purpose of it is to give you higher fps fluidity when you turn on intensive RT options like path tracing which is taxing. Multiplayer games are not needed to be played at max settings and also they are fairly easy to run.
