Krizzp!! Nice video, just one mention, you missed one setting I was looking forward to, Optimized settings+ Raytracing. Since this is a 4090 video, we 4090 owners (like literally 90% of us) do use Raytracing. For me it’s a night and day difference disabling it. Specially with how bad shadows work in this game without it. Lots of shimmering.

Kryzzp just if you don't know, From my own experience playing this game with a lower-end video card (RX6600) the chapter 1 and 2 are the mostly optimized chapters, from chapter 3 onwards the things start to get a lot intensive for the GPU, so it's nice your tests in these chapters

It's actually not. Chapter 1 are the most intensive chapters with Raytracing with all the tree's shadow. The other chapters are not ass bad. If you have a lower-end card, then you prob don't even have raytracing enabled.

Absolute amazing looking game. Graphics are next-gen. I believe this game uses software Lumen when RT is off, which is why it's so demanding even with RT off. The textures could be slightly better for some objects. Other than that, it's a brilliant looking game.

You should try metal gear solid 5. The optimization was amazing I played it with a gtx 1060 3gb and was able to run it 1440p at 60 fps on high settings

I disagree with your take on Ray Tracing, Kryzzp. I specifically bought my 4090 back then (and my 3090ti before that) for 4K high resolution (textures and visual) modding purposes as well as for amazing RT/PT performance in CP2077, Alan Wake 2 and other titles. Since I often use thousands of mods in single-player games like Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 4, for example, visually and gameplay wise completely overhauling those games, the 24GB on the 4090 and great rasta/rt performance are a blessing. RT is absolutely important to me, and so is the superior upscaler DLSS. Especially the newest DLSS version, 3.7.20 on DLSS Preset E, looks at 4K resolution with DLSS balanced almost like native DLAA. If I wouldn't care for RT performance and upscaling, I probably would have gone with the much better priced 7900XTX. How come you never test DLSS balanced, but always go from Quality right to Performance mode? While DLSS balanced with 58% render scaling is the sweet spot at 4K gaming for visuals that almost look like native DLAA and a decent performance uplift! Don't get me wrong, DLSS Performance mode also does an amazing job, but you never test preset Balanced in your videos. Long story short, I and other single-player enthusiasts don't buy 4090s to turn off RT. I rather take 40 - 70fps with "godlike" visuals that are completely unmatched by weaker systems, than 100+ fps for mediocre RT/PT off visuals. Since I play on my controller with NVIDIA Reflex and boost activated, I couldn't be bothered less by a 50ish or 60ish fps experience.

did we watch the same video? where is the good path tracing performance you are talking about? the visual improvement from using path tracing isn't worth it when you ruin the image with upscaling from 1080p, lag and washed out image from fg and low fps. you got bamboozled by nvidia and bought the lie that the 4090 can do path tracing at 4k, it can't and that's all there is to it, the rest is just coping. this game is playable if you use quality to balanced upscaling but path tracing and frame gen is a no no. i'm honestly flabbergasted that you would be ok with 40 fps when anything below constant 60 is just eye cancer. ray tracing is nowhere near of a visual improvement compared to a higher resolution, better monitor and higher fps.

I think if I were running a 4K monitor, then DLSS Quality (so rendering at 2560x1440) would be acceptable. 1440p monitor and below, I'd not bother running DLSS. If you can't run at least 1440p native then what year are we gaming in? This game in 1440p native Cinematic getting 80fps is perfect!

Dlss on 1440p is still very good. I have 24' 1440p so ppi is near 4k at 32". In this setup dlss looks very good. Ofc better if game is not UE5 bcs this engine is blurry. 1080p looka like worse than 720p few years ago 😅

You can create a graphical masterpiece with minimal resources, but the new engine is not exactly economical in terms of resource use. FG needs to have its AI trained and the dev needs to put in the Algorithm that will help the AI cores of the card to identify the pattern and generate the fake AI frame such that it looks close to orignal frames. I think WuKong devs have not thought that someone will try to run this game at 8k, an UE5 title in 8k is Insane😅.

the way that i got it to have 60 locked but smooth on my gtx 1660 ti was by using optimized settings with fsr native and frame gen and forcing the vertical sync on nvidia control panel for black myth and sacrificing my hz to 60 to play but it's worth it, um grande abraço

PT on 4000 series work much better than in 3000 series in wukong, if NV will again give us similar PT boost then the rtx 4090 equvalent in rtx 5000 probably do about 60 FPS with DLSSQ in 4k.

@@metalface_villain Leaks told about 10% in raster and more in RT, already 4070 do close to 50% more FPS in wukong than 3080, while in raster and RT both of this cards are the same. So if 5080 do 45FPS and 30% PT uplift it will be 60, but even 50+ wilp be fine. Also MLID prices was wrong as kopietkimi said, he told that cards be slighty more expensive or even the same, in my opinion maybe 5090 will be mich more expensive, other cards are extremely cut.

@@adamadamx5464 everywhere i looked it only says 10% in general, i haven't seen any specific mentions that the 5080 will be significantly better in path tracing although that might just be me and no, 50 fps is absolutely not fine, anything below 60 constant is unplayable. you are literally a clown if u spend a minimum of 1k to the gpu alone and play on 50 fps, everyone caught doing that should have their right to vote be removed (i'm joking ofc). as for the price, i hope you are right. these leaks in general are a mess and i don't know how trustworthy they are, i feel like many of these are made on purpose for nvidia to sell their stock while keeping the same prices and also test the water with what they can get away with in the new series as far as price goes. in the end we will know for sure when the cards get announced and later released and tested.

I think the FG cant produce these fake frames at 8k because its too slow HW. And it takes too long for the frame to generate so the real frame is rendered faster. Who knows. Apparently theres some HW limitation and its kept under the rug by the companies.

BM Wukong is an unoptimized mess. The 4090 is supposedly almost 3x faster than a 3060Ti, yet I'm running the game at 4K, optimized settings, FSR quality + FG, and I'm getting ~75 fps average. You're not even getting 2x that with a 4090. It's like 86% faster only.
