Forgiveness is a vital part of life. Asking for forgiveness for what we have done is not only rare these days but is one of the foundations of life. When we forgive it frees us of the burdens we carry. Asking God to forgive gives us blessings of heaven to intervene in our lives.

Forgiveness is so difficult. But Jesus shows how it is a gift for the gifter and the receiver. So that they can then follow Jesus's example. Thank you Chosen for this powerful portrayal.

Exactly why Peter is the Rock. He is the disciple with the most character development. Love it. His hesitation to forgive Matthew outright, was so well acted out. Peter has to come to terms with what it means to be the Rock. He has to forgive Matthew before such a role is to be fulfilled. Love it. Perfect.

CORRECT,by seeing this movie,it's almost like you can peer into the past and see the bible come alive,IT'S ALL ABOUT FORGIVENESS,BUT until JESUS CAME, there was nothing but the good in man,but strife was in the world a million times worse

@@raymondfryar1533 In a small group intimate setting at church, we were to forgive someone that it was difficult for us to forgive. Realizing that that person was me brought a whole wave of misery along with cleansing tears. The misery doesn’t pop up as strongly anymore, just Jesus’ forgiveness, compassion, and grace.

Matthew 6 also implies Ramadan is a hypocritical holiday. Like Jesus, we must say woe to Muslim apologists, anti-Zionists, American/Western liberals, etc who are like Pharisees, Sadducees, Romans, etc while Israel is like Jesus and I guess conservatives are like apostles. --- More info: - Ha6uVGB-Mtw

"You don't apologize to be forgiven, you apologize to repent. Forgiveness is a gift given from the other person." I waited for 25 years for an "apology" that finally came, but I had to give endless forgiveness even when it hurt. I wanted to hear more in the apology, but as a wise person told me "That may be all he has to bring to the table." Sometimes we don't hear all we want to hear when someone apologizes (or asks forgiveness); but our responsibility is in the "endless forgiveness."

Same. I feel so much for others and it hurts me to see other people hurt. Always has but I swear I feel people's pain as is now that I straight up surrounded my life to Jesus. I still sin. Drink n smoke but I know he's working on me and one day ima stop all of it. Even gonna stop my anxiety meds one day. I know it. It's so much easier and alot more simple when u turn it over to God. You can't do anything without him. Jesus is king of everything

Funny how that works right? I am also walking with Jesus and it has been for a short time. I am 55 and He is teaching me so much humility. He has caused me to rethink things and open my eyes to the way I used to be. I also used to be like Peter. Always angry at someone. And I can say after so long that former me is now dead. Praise God.

The end of this video was the most meaningful moment of all 4 seasons. So much is made of forgiveness being a gift for the one who gives it, to be free of the hatred or whatever negative emotion is there, but it is also a gift to the one who is forgiven. Forgiveness is the only thing that can break the cycles of violence in the world.

One of the things that touched me is how tender Jesus was with Mathew. After discussing the problem He kissed him on top of the head. He was also understanding with Peter. Jesus also said something to Mathew like, neither My Father or I are happy when two of my followers are holding bitterness in their hearts towards each other. We would do well to remember that. Being unforgiving is displeasing to God.

I loved every part of this scene. I love how the others were stunned and wondering what's going on, but Thaddeus and Mary are smiling because they are happy for matthew for finally experiencing forgiveness and friendship, even from Peter. And of course the wide eyed childlike reaction from Matthew. Peter who had to do the most noble thing and sincerely forgive the one he was most angry at.

This show has made a profound difference in my life! I always considered my self a Catholic and love Jesus but I was not always a good one. I am not so sure I am now. But this show and I’m sure the Holy Spirit has made me dive in deeper to my faith. Christian faith is being attacked all over the world but we must be strong and keep the faith and speak out . My other advice is to pray, read the Bible and pray the rosary it works!!!!

Christ calls us to forgive one another. You might have faith that can move mountains, and hope of life eternal because of surrending to Jesus and accepting him as your savior. But if you dont have love, you have nothing. And it is better to give than to receive. So forgive one another with absolute truth and total love. It is a delight to him. And nothing comes to the Father except through Christ.

In my experience apologies are usually empty, or a manipulation tactic. I find people tend to apologize it because society demands it or they feel entitled that they deserve an apology, encouraging an empty apology. It’s hard to tell if the other person is genuine when they apologize, repent, or even forgive. It’s only beautiful and powerful and liberating when it’s sincere.

Definitely a point worth chewing on; rather than focus on someone not forgiving you, consider have you actually apologized or just asked to "sweep it under the rug" and pretend it didn't happen. "Let's just move on" is not apologizing
@veronicaibarra8267
@veronicaibarra8267 12 сағат бұрын
This is true. Sometimes God has to show the offender just how much they hurt the other so they can truly repent and not just move forward or sweep it under the rug. Our hearts are supposed to be soft, but offences not taken care for makes people hard hearted.

I would say it’s a gift given to yourself. When you forgive someone who wronged you, you free yourself. Notice Peter had moved on to the point that he seemed confused when Matthew started to apologize. Matthew has held the memory and feelings inside him all this time.

Forgiving someone is never for them. It is for you. It is so you can lay your burden aside and see that person with new eyes as an innocent person so you may start anew your relationship with them and with the Creator. Sure, it does give them solace and a surcease of their pains and helps them to start anew with you, but forgiveness is an act that washes your hatred and your clinging to the past away.

Nicholas, Make sure you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart - Romans 10:9-10. Every morning before starting to PRAY. You and your daughter read Ephesians 6:10-19 then for a spiritual cleansing read PSALM 51. Always do Ephesians and Psalm 51 before praying. Also, you may have to do some house cleaning, like getting rid of things that belong to the devil - such as Cartoon dolls, teddy bears, movies characters statues, posters, little mermaid things - including bedspreads, shoes, nightgowns, jewelry, etc... Ask God what is in the house that is allowing the devil entry that disturbs your PEACE. What's being watched on T. V. Any "R" rated movies in the home??? Anoint Her and her room and take authority , Luke 10:18 and Matthew 4: 7 & 10 ( if you are a Christian). I hope this helps. Read God's Holy Word to yourself and daughter daily. Teach her to pray Psalm 91 , 121 and Isaiah 54:17. Shalom!!!
