This place looks eerily familiar; just like a typical Nigerian city. This one was built by native Kenyans. This is definitely no Nairobi & we know who built that one.
@heidipratt1097
@heidipratt1097 8 ай бұрын
Who built that one? Because Nairobi was built by Jomo Kenya, the old Nairobi, the skyscrapers and all that. The roads were built by President Kibaki and then Uhuru Kenyatta. Now the new skyscrapers you see in Nairobi, you will be shocked to know that they are owned by Kenyans, mostly local saccos and local banks. So, who built Nairobi according to you? if I may ask.

@@heidipratt1097 Reading your response, one would never know about British East Africa and how the UK dumped so many British Indians on Kenya. This was Jomo Kenyatta & the Mau Mau's major complaint. The idea here was to highlight how modern Nairobi benefitted originally from British town planning and not who owns what. This is actually what makes Ruaka different. I did not mean to step on sore toes. Forgive me if I did.
