hello, I have simple white wood mirror frame, however it is satin finish, when I applied the gold leaf, it was not sticking to the surface, any idea what I am doing wrong?

When I had an issue with it sticking, I used some Rust-Oleum 2x clear matte spray to prime it! It stuck great after that, but did need multiple coats! I hope this helps fix it! 💗

I forgot to ask you if you think I could use it on glass taper candlestick holders to match some aged brass ones I have?

I havent tried it on glass, however, I feel like it would work if you first spray the items with some clear spray paint. You might have to be the guinea pig this time! 😅

I have a shiny metal chandelier- the crystal is great looking, but the metal - cheap looking. I ordered rub n buff and now I know it needs some kind of coat. It's hard to spray paint because I don't want to seton the crystal. Hm. Wonder if I can delicately hand paint some kind of primer?

I'm not sure, nothing specifically comes to mind right away for you to seal it with. Try researching metal clear coats and see what pops up! Happy to try to help if you have any other questions.

I had shiny flawless flat plastic surface and mine needs primer, must depend on surfaces, if it can grip on to it 🤷🏻‍♀️. Great video. I just thought i wasnt putting it on right 😂

It definitely depends on the surface! There have been times that I am positive its going to work great without extra prep. I was wrong. 😅

Sorry about my delay, but it says on the packaging that you shouldn't seal it!

Does it smell really strong after you let them sit and dry? Like can you still smell it if it’s sitting around in your home?

It does not! After it dried, the strong odor went away!

I am actually not sure! I didn't test any of the projects that I did in heat and have since sold them all! If I get the opportunity to test this, I will let you know!

I do discuss this in the video, but yes there are fumes! It smells like spray paint. I used it inside, but turn on the fan and opened the window to keep the air circulating.

Ive never tried it, but I would think yes, as long as it is given plenty of time to set.

I would think so. I used it on plastic and it worked really well! Just needed multiple coats. I'd probably make a practice piece to make sure though! Just in case it has issues sticking!

First box was basically not sanded down enough. With all due respect you can see a very clear glare and reflection from the "sanded" box. This thing works great but like anything else .. prep is key

You are probably right, I was a bit nervous to sand it too far and the marks to show up. I'm not vwey familiar when working with metal. Just trying it out! Happy to accepts suggestions to help! Thank you!

When this product first came out, it was much better. It was shinier, and it covered almost anything on the first coat. Now, in my opinion, it is not worth the money.

Using a microfiber cloth is not good absorbs the product the rub n buff to much. Just use your gloved finger.😊

Correct! However, I do see how this could be confusing, so I'm happy to clarify, if you are referring to this product! The Rust-Oleum 2x Ultra Coat spray paint is my go to! I use it in the color clear and matte finish. It's just my preferred finish to achieve the look I am going for! It is a sealant that gives you twice the coverage in less coats of paint! You can use it to seal in a finished project OR you can use it to prep your project from any stains or problem areas that need to be sealed in. In these times, I refer to it as a primer because it is acting as a primer. I apologize if I have not made that clear in my many times using it! 💕
