This is probably the greatest movie in existance in terms of no bounderies and endless mental and artistic exploration. Also, it's hilarious and absurd, the whole thing. And I love it!

@@neo-filthyfrank1347 tbh I was very engaged at all times, although I wasn’t necessarily invested in their journey per say, I really wanted to know what was going to happen next - I think saying the story isn’t engaging is wrong. Also you’re right that most the characters are shallow and uninteresting, but at least the Alchemist himself is a memorable character.

@@tadhgknight3484 Nah for me the story was interesting at the beginning and at the end but in the middle it really starts to drag pacing wise when it goes through all the characters and their planets. And I'd argue the Alchemist isn't really that interesting either. Jodorowsky seems to have this problem pretty consistently, it shows up in El Topo too. First hour is great, second hour sucks.
