That 'Rubino' clementine is coming on very nicely, Dom. Nice to see that it is attracting bees. Like your 'Rubino', my 'Bouquet de Fleur' sour orange is a vigorous grower. All of my citrus have flower buds on them. My citron is absolutely loaded with flower buds, which should begin to open any time soon. Nothing better than the aroma of citrus blossom!

Thanks Gary. It's a strong plant with favourable genetics. I could tell from your uploads that your 'Bouquet de Fleur' is a vigourous and strong plant also. Some citrus varieties struggle to fill a canopy and grow, whilst others just want to be healthy. It's great to hear your citrus all have flower buds and that your citron is loaded and ready to bloom. I agree, the sweet perfume of citrus is intoxicating. I'll never forget walking into the nurseries of Agrumi Lenzi and Oscar Tintori on a warm day with that sweet aroma filling the air. Truly wonderful.

Citrus plants are among my favourites to grow now, Brett. Our climate may not be their absolute preference but still a very worthwhile and pleasurable endeavour. I'm looking forward to the updates on your superb collection.

It looks absolutely stunning, Dom! Hopefully, you get plenty of fruit on it this year! I can definitely agree with the vigour on this plant. The plant you gave me has almost doubled in size while I've been away! I couldn't quite believe how much it had grown in just under 3 weeks! I repotted and fed it just before I went away and left it in the greenhouse. I don't see any flowers on it yet, but it is still very young for flowering anyway.

Thanks, Peter. I'm pleased that your Ruby Clem is doing well also. It's rather encouraging to learn they do so well on Poncirus rootstock, as not all citrus seem to be as vigourous on it. My smaller Rubino hasn't any flowers on it either, which I think is a good thing since it allows the plant to focus energy on developing roots and canopy.

Thanks, Emil ... It's a wonderful variety. Easy to graft, fast to grow, hardy. Mine has been outdoor all winter with no protection. I'm all out of spares at the moment but when I get back from the Netherlands next week I'll be grafting a bunch more. I did promise you one so hopefully when next we meet, it'll be ready. 👍🏽

@@MoebiusUK Looking forward to it! I'll gift you a 10 Degree tangerine in return, as those are quite impossible to get hands on outside the US!

It's a really nice citrus variety. As soon as I got the Rubino I realised it was a vigourous grower. It produces a strong canopy and so many sweet smelling flowers. The smaller grafted plant is the only one I have left atm but if interested you're welcome to email me. My email address is in the about section of my KZbin page. 👍🏽
