It reminds me of Leroy in a way when you guys were going for 7's. You had to slow down to go faster. I know Leroy has the power to run consistent 7's every pass which it should be doing now..I believe and I may be wrong that it has to do with the chassis and handling of that car that's holding him back. It just has a terrible time running a clean pass down the track and looks like its a major handful. He's done some amazing saves with that car already. Its one brutal ride and it needs some attention before we ever see it run a low to mid 7 constantly for sure. He's getting older and has workers to pay and a track to pay for too, and I think Leroy is one dangerous car and he knows it too.

Stu650Zuk I understand and your right for the most part. Leroy definitely has the power but the problem is a corvette is an IRS car. That’s always going to be a battle on top of having zero aero. Irs is going to hold him back at the 60 and aero at the big end. I’m not saying I could drive or tune Leroy in any way better then cleetus. But since the new motor and clutch he hasn’t spent the time retuning the setup, other then 2 outings at the track. I just wish we would could have more Leroy content. Hes got 7.50s all day.

@@toohoney8674 not at the low 8s range, but at there for a while she was a guaranteed 8.50 machine that just never seemed to break, and all that with a turbo kit that looked like it was built in the dark. With the new setup, it's not so much "holy crap, I can't believe that actually works", it's more like "holy crap those are expensive parts". Nothing against the new setup, but it sure was fun rooting for the hacked together underdog.

Truth, I have tinnitus due to not wearing ear protection on the job sites with 20 generators as well as welder generators all running while echoing off walls all around me. Also having a really really powerful speaker setup in my last SUV constantly at full for years didn't help the case. And trust me you do NOT want tinnitus. It can drive you insane and there is no cure. You either let it get to you and drive you literally into insanity, or you just somehow learn to live with it, find ways to keep your mind off it, and never put yourself kn the situation where you're in dead silence otherwise you're going to hear the ringing, thus bringing it back to your attention. It fucking blows.
