Any documentary on the military industrial complex is important to see IMO. The effect of the war on terror is still rippling all these decades later. All the dominos that have fallen since then. All the lives lost. Just another smokescreen our politicians deployed to distract us with. And Rudy was a part of it.

I also remember coverage that showed the brief clip that was “evidence” then the whole clip in context and how it was misrepresented to show something that didn’t happen. The news unfortunately may show clips that don’t give full context of an event this happens a lot when there is coverage of police involved use of force.

No reason why the size of the award should be overturned - it's within the Georgia State guidelines. The jury clearly wanted to send a message that attacking and doxing innocent private individuals for cynical political reasons can't be tolerated. Punitive damages are specifically intended to deter similar actions by others, and this is within the jury's discretion.

Platform vs voting history. There is a reason certain personalities flock to politics. And just bc we might like a politician doesn’t mean they’re somehow exempt from the label. I personally liked Bernie sanders, I find him to be the one politician I would say most likely has the peoples best interests at heart. Even if I don’t agree with HOW he wants to help every time, I can at least see how he’s trying. But I’d never say he’s for sure not done something corrupt at some point. The whole “lesser of two evils” saying exists for this very reason. We can’t ever truly know all the details of someone’s history, politicians especially. Where their kids go to school. Bernie flew regular airlines instead of private jets and didn’t do first class. I respect that. But can I say he did that bc he wanted to? Or bc he was trying to be seen as “of the people?” Only he knows that. So I’ll never trust a politician and I sure as hell won’t ever be completely gung ho over one, like many people get over Hillary or Trump. It makes me laugh bc these people don’t care about us. They pretend. They lie. They say whatever they need to to get the votes and get the power. Bc what else is there after you’re rich. Money doesn’t matter. It’s the power they crave. And I’ll never not for one second truly believe some politician actually cares about ME.
