Cheren should have two teams: His team as a normal trainer And his Gym leader team

They were Gym Pokemon. He used them to test the challengers' bonds with their Pokemon, according to Juniper. Not his strongest or true team. If I remember correctly, Cheren said "If only I had my team" or something like that when the four of them (Professor Juniper, Bianca, Protagonist and Cheren) were talking. Besides Cheren isn't a Rival in White 2 and Black 2.

@Skurk yeah, I agree Hop was one of the best rivals, Though i do have an unpopular opinion. I think Hop is a pretty good Rival, But more in the sense of how he grows as a character and the fact i felt sad about beating him at times.

I do not free with Barry’s team he will use only two of Roserade, Floatzel, and Rapidash. He uses the types that are not his starter Pokémon so if he chose Empoleon then take off Floatzel and add Snorlax which is a Pokémon he uses in Pokémon Platnium

Gladion gets a kanto starter after he returns from kanto in USUM and it's the same type as the protagonist starter, i feel like gladion could have a charizard since hau gets a decidueye

Barry's mainstay pokemon are Staraptor, Heracross & Snorlax (Snorlax even should be obvious as he always use Munchlax when you have double battle with him), the others are interchangeable depend on what you consider his starter

The Barry team you described is if you choose Piplup. Floatzel, Rapidash and Roserade are interchangeable depending on the Starter you picked. You also forgot Snorlax in his mons.

I get that it doesn't matter much, but it would've been nice to avoid repeats between rivals of the same Gen, like Calem and Serena didn't both need absol or sylveon for Serena and Shauna. On a different note though, I like how no one from X & Y used Froakie on their team.

I feel like there are 2 different Hau's. The Sun and Moon world and the Ultra world. I feel SuMo Hau has Primarina and UsUm Hau has Decidueye.

Um Barry has a rotation depending on his starter so if he chose em piplup he would have staraptor snorlax herocross roserade rapidash and empower. If he chose one of the other two floatzel would replace roserade or rapidash

So I am a bit confused where you got your information from regarding Barry’s team in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. All of his Pokémon there are identical to the ones in Platinum and are fully evolved by the final battle. Am I missing something?

Though you sound slightly uncertain when stating your choices of pokemon throughout of the video, your reasonings didn't sound too convincing either especially around the Kalos rivals when guessing their true pokemon with no evidence but your own opinion which is understandable. Ok as a giant lover of platinum you missed some things about Barry. He has a snorlax in his final team. The Pokémon that share the type with his starter is not present. Also I can’t in my right mind make Barry an Empoleon user. That’s Dawn’s signature. If I play as Dawn, Barry is a Torterra trainer, and if I play as Lucas, Barry is an Infernape trainer. It seems so wrong giving him Empoleon. Especially since Infernape fits his personality best. A blazing fast power hungry fire monkey, and then floatzel WOULD be present which is also fitting. His whole team is very based on sweepers. So it fits that he’d use the fastest of them.

I personally don't think that Absol really fits with either Calem or Serena, so just replace Absol with Meowstic, male and female respectively. It's a unique Pokemon of Kalos and Calem even has on in Pokemon Masters, so yeah.
