Opening a garage within 20 meters of Rufford ford would be a golden business oportunity! Youll be doing 10 oil changes a day and selling air/oil filters left and right!
@radiocontrolled9181

Oil changes? Hehe that's very oversimplifying it!!! Once hydrolocked and turned (via electric starter), the engine damage goes FAAARR beyond an oil change and filter !!! Bent connecting rods need to be replaced, stripping the engine down and putting it together again.

@@supertreme5559 It's in Britain, and it's 40 MPH which is around 65kmh. The insurance companies are not looking for "reasons" to not pay out. They're looking for "pretexts" not to pay out. They want to say to you "unfortunately your car was damaged by X reason, therefore we cannot pay out". If you don't accept the brush-off they will low-ball and see where it takes them. Some people will just accept this and some will not- at which point it's become a negotiation about how much they're going to pay out, when and how. All the time they're playing for time (they still have the money, and all the time in the world). Maybe you get fed up and leave it. Maybe you decide to accept 50% now so you can get a new car to stay mobile and keep your job? - maybe you ultimately instruct an attorney, at which point they agree to pay out minimally and you need to pay your attorney. If you think this is all unfair, imagine how you'd feel if you agreed to replace a mate's car when he crashed it - only to see him deliberately driving like an idiot and guffawing "nah, I ain't worried - that mug is gonna pick up the tab if I stack it!".

You're right, slow is the key. Even jeeps are very prone to hydrolock with the smallest wake
@ginskimpivot753
@ginskimpivot753 Жыл бұрын
@@electropentatonic Slow is indeed the key, but if you think the water level's near your wheel centres, back out. It's only 2.8 miles to go round. An exhaust will cope with being a couple of inches under water, but the bigger problem is that water caught by the back of the engine bay can only go straight up, where it's instantly sucked into the engine, and may well also get into the little insulator sleeves on electrical contacts. This ford should be signed with a warning that anything over 5 inches at 5 MPH will probably cause complete failure on conventional saloons/h.backs. That said, some of these jokers really do need to learn the hard way.

@@unicyclingistheshit I think that is not true because the aquaplane will let water get inside the car engine. Just a bit of water can fail the engine, if it pass through the air filter.
