Buy any older motor....... take it slowly.... make sure the air intake is high up... you'll be fine. Spend £30k plus on a new car, boot it through the ford and end up hydraulicing the engine....... don't worry, the warranty "might" cover it............ 🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Its not worth even £500 anyway , Diesel Renaults are awful , i had a Clio with same engine , Turbo always going wrong and thing drank oil like a horse to water.

@@christineayres5339 its not the car's fault u dont know how to drive.. Faulty turbo=u didnt rev it enough, and oil consumption=u probably drive like crazy when engine still cold. Dci's are the best diesels and thats a fact. Why do you think Mercedes got that engine? To have customers that cry about oil consumption and turbo fails? They'd lose their reputation

We stayed at Sherwood Forest Holiday Cottages just up the road from there, spent a good hour watching cars drive through the ford. :)
I would stay in there all day watching the cars, love that.

@@FBI-wh9pj I did drive in the original beast from the east back in 2018 I believe ,I was driving a little Suzuki wagon R + model a very funny car to look at but in snow ❄️ the ground clearance was excellent similar to the Suzuki Vitara , most people in Normal cars like Golfs and Audi's were getting stranded but I made it round High Wycombe which is all hills with no serious issues

@@nazimelon6653 My driving instructor was clear. Never drive through even the smalles of foggy water puddles because you don't know if there is a open man-hole a big rock or a sinkhole. If there is no way around it make sure someone else goes first ;-).

Will be interesting to see how electric vehicles handle this, no air intake to worry about, but batteries low down and electric motors in the hubs.

@@hikaru9624 you generally don't have to worry about electric motors underwater. Electricity will always follow the path of least resistance and a copper wire is going to be a much better conductor than the surrounding water. The thing I'd be worried about is the BMS or any of the other controllers for the system. In something like a Tesla drive unit, the controllers mounted next to the motor. I'm not sure how well they are sealed but I've seen plenty of flood Teslas that don't have any long-term motor issues so I'm sure they're fine.
