If you listen to the way the stories start and end, it's almost the same, often ending in "A testament to...", also often using similar phrases such as "paths crossing", "A reminder of...", "A complex dance of..." and others, if you ask chatGPT to generate a story with a romance prompt almost identical to the title you will get a story very similar to these, using the same idioms and analogies, in fact they're pretty much identical. As a final test I took the caption script of a total of 6 stories putting them to an AI detector I found that all of the 6 are AI, I did not bother to do the others because if 6 came out as AI, the rest would too. AI detectors are not 100% correct or reliable, but they're pretty solid. Conclusion A: They use AI then claim it's their own genuine "hard work". (I'm almost 100% certain this is the case) Conclusion B: They actually do write these, they just write like a robot. (Pretty sure it's not this)

We were broke college kids (back in the '90s) who both worked at the same student dorm cafeteria job. I was a dish washer, and he was a bus boy. I was the only woman back in the dish room. He apparently liked bringing dishes when we had the same shifts; sounds like he had been 'watching' me for a few weeks before he decided to try his luck. Before the supper shift, the cafeteria allowed us workers to have a free meal before officially opening to all students. I had left my tray at a table while I got a glass of milk; when I turned back, he was sitting at my table. The cafeteria had dozens of empty tables...and he was at mine. I was surprised / a bit irritated (there were so many empty seats!). I'm glad I gave him a chance though! We're both pretty introverted. We've been married 27 years now 😄

A job I worked at happened to also be the workplace of one of my highschool classmates. I think she was a grade below me, but irregardless, she was still pretty chill. She never really talked much in school, but it turned out she just didn't have many friends in the classes that I shared with her. Outside of school, she was a bubbly, goofy girl and she always tried to include me in breaks or lunch times with the rest of our work group. I worked my own section of the store, so most social interactions didn't exist for me. I remembered having a bad day and was really mad towards the end of our shift. I told her to just take off and go home while I finished up, but she stayed by my side. I finished my work and clocked out and we left work together. I'll never forget that; she could've just gone about her night and left me to stew in my anger but she chose to stay and be by my side. I wish I hadn't been such a coward. I wish I had asked her out and started a relationship. I waiting until New Years and asked her over text, saying that I promised myself I'd ask her out before the end of the year. She politely rejected me and I went into a depression because of how foolish I was to not ask her sooner. Maybe things would have been different. Either way, I hope she's doing well in life. As far as I know, she's not working at dump of a job anymore, so that's at least good. I will remember her forever though. That one gesture will stick with me for eternity.

i'm an introvert and i first became friends with my current girlfriend in school, where we were sat together in english and we had pretty much perfect chemistry. she is also pretty introverted but we got along like we were the biggest extroverts in the town. i don't personally use social media other than discord in order to talk to people with common interests, and to join gaming communities and such. because i wouldn't dare ask for her number, i asked if she had discord (which for anyone else would've been the dumbest thing to say possible), to which she said yes. turns out she downloaded it just to talk to me. still one of the weirdest yet nicest things anybody has done for me. we grew closer and despite the fact i was still incredibly awkward and dry we began calling often, and she was the only person i felt comfortable video chatting with (still true) and we stayed up all night multiple times talking and laughing. i remember it was nearing 6 am and she told me i could go to sleep and i told her i wanted to talk to her instead and i think back on that a lot too. not too long later i told her i had a crush on her and she didn't react at all, so i thought that was it. turns out she was hiding her excitement as she had felt the same way for months. we've been together for nearly 2 years now. edit: i don't expect anyone to read this but it's nice sort of anonymously saying this somewhere where it's relevant

I'm the guy in this story. When I was in my second year of college as a music major, I was retaking a few classes I did poorly in my first year (I had no social life in high school so when I got to college and got a few friends I didn't know how to balance classwork and a social life), and I met this one girl. When we first met she wasn't even on my radar, but one day a few weeks later she was sitting in this one lounge area we called the people aquarium (the building it was in was 3 stories tall and each floor had windows looking down into it). It was kinda early, and she was waiting for class by herself, and I noticed she was reading a Star Wars expanded universe book, and it piqued my interest because I had read a lot of Star Wars books for book reports in high school. Asked her about it and she just went on and on about the books, about her life being raised on a farm, etc., and we had a nice long conversation. Over the next few days I was considering mustering up what small amount of confidence I had to ask her out, when another girl that was interested in me caught wind that I liked the first girl and started spreading a few unsavory and untrue rumors about the first girl that scared me off because she wanted to go out with me (I had zero interest in her). So I didn't act on girl 1 at that time. In the next semester The first girl and I were both taking another class together (Opera Workshop) and towards the end of the semester the other 10 or 12 people in our class thought it would be fun to take the 2 awkward people in our class and put them together just for the lols. So one day they all suggested as a class we would go as a group to a nearby Taco Bell for lunch, and they arranged it to where we both ended up in a booth next to each other. We both just felt awkward and our classmates were all snickering and proud of themselves for making us feel that way. A couple of days later I felt like going back to Taco Bell, but I didn't want to go alone, so I casually asked her if she wanted to join me ,and she agreed. so we went, ate, and afterwards I went to go park my car back at my dorm and we just kept talking to each other. At that point I finally mustered up the confidence to asker her to be my girlfriend, and she said yes. Immediately after I timidly asked her if I could kiss her, and without hesitation she said yes, so we did. We were engaged 6 months later, and got married the next year. Things with her have been great, and now we've been married for over 23 years.

I'm the awkward dude and I was working at a gas station as a Stocker. A new cashier started a month or so after I did and I barely said anything to her because one I don't like ppl much and 2 she was pretty.
