Im enjoying these interviews. Getting insights into how each player views the game, teams, teammates and opposition. Interesting to notice where they view things similarly and where they differ and why. It is apparent that good coaches have their systems and need buy in from players but also that good coaches recognize which players to be hard with and which ones to approach with more subtly.

Good insight into the culture at the Rebel camp. I really wish AR pays a little bit of attention to build this club up. Probably need a mixture of League and Rugby coaches and SA, Kiwi coaches to build the foundation.

It took me 17 minutes to realise these guys were only wearing socks...EDIT...Ah Japanese culture - good show, more serious than the clowning around and drama that Breakdown/ Rugby Pod / Keo and Zels, etc have. Good views on how the Wallaby rugby culture works.

Interesting conversation. These guys still look pretty fit. The point about the social aspects of rugby is well taken. Social fitness used to set rugby apart from other sports. Smashing each other for 80 minutes and then going out for a beer and some shitty food made the effort worthwhile. Everybody had a laugh, a rude singsong, and a chat about the match. We’ve lost a lot of that camaraderie and sportsmanship. Top players are often psychological wrecks (Wilkinson comes to mind). Yes, there’s a lot of money and prestige involved but it’s still a game. Maybe that’s why fans are turning away in many countries. Rugby has become too much like gridiron football, basketball, and Major League Baseball.
