thanks for doing comparison. I would like to see some slightly higher quality ammo tried out, like maybe CCI or something. I've found Thunderbolts to be less uniform performing than a lot of the other even slightly pricier alternatives, in the rifles I have. I no longer buy it as a matter of fact.

I agree. I think there is enough interest for a round 2 with better ammo and maybe off a proper bench.

I agree. Thunderbolts are good for general linking, but for accuracy testing, CCI is a better ammo. I have found that CCI outshoots SK ammo.

Have both, well, now only the Wildcat. Why? Anyone who says their 10/22 doesn't jam, is full of crap. The 10/22 is the only firearm, and I have a bunch, that I have ever got rid of. The Wildcat with striker fire, pounds the firing pin, so you always have ignition, and the extractor is way bigger and stronger than the 10/22. However, I will put the 10/22 as a bit more accurate, but, if you are plinkiing, Wildcat.

what about how you feel these guns? Recoil, weight, etc. My wife is looking for a very light gun
@WarneUSA10 ай бұрын
Being .22s, there is not much recoil to begin with. The wood stock model I use in this video is heavier than the Winchester, but there are factory Rugers with lightweight synthetic stocks and there are some super lightweight aftermarket parts that can reduce a lot of weight making it much lighter. Subscribe to see an upcoming video do a 10/22 ultra-light build. The nice thing about the Winchester is it has a factory-threaded barrel, so if someone wants to reduce what little recoil there is, they could put a muzzle break or silencer on it.

I don’t think the shooting displayed is a good comparison. Both should and do shoot less than 1 MOA at 50 yards in any I’ve ever shot. We own multiple of each. Kids prefer the wildcat.
@WarneUSA Жыл бұрын
I agree. They should do better off a good bench with sandbags and match ammo.

why the wildcat?
@EasyChuckX11 ай бұрын
@@warofages07 the mag release is easier than the Ruger, last round hold open (on oem wildcat mags), suppressible, lighter weight, and way easier to clean. They do their own cleaning. Our oldest is starting to shoot an AR with the cmmg kit more which could be ergonomics or “cool factor”. I give them each a $300 monthly ammo budget, and we shoot 2-4 times a month so 22 is their happy point.

@@warofages07 The 10/22 and Wildcat are similar as they are both semi-auto magazine-fed. I know other good semi-auto rifles are out there, but I need access to them. If I get my hands on any, I will make more videos. Great question, by the way.

What scope would you recommend for the wildcat?
@WarneUSA10 ай бұрын
Hello Pat, It depends on the shooting and distances you are shooting. If you are plinking, just about any decent scope will do. This one in the video has a 1-4 Athlon LPVO because it is used for Rimfire Challenge Competitions where targets are about 25 yards max, so the 1-2x works best for speedy target acquisition but is also used for Sage Rat hunting. Those small critters are hard to see without magnification, so the 4 power is really handy. The scope has drop compensator marks and is dialable, so if you know your dope, you push the .22 cartridge out to further distances. When selecting a scope for the Wildcat, one thing to note is the rear sight. If you plan to keep the rear sight, you may have to shop around to get a scope where the eyepiece will clear the sight, use higher rings, or remove the rear sight so you can use whatever ring height or scope you want. This video shows a close-up of what I had to do to clear the rear sight. kzbin.infoKxd6ky2q5xU

The Ruger 10/22 mags will work in the Winchester Wildcat. I am not 100% sure if the Winchester mag will work in the Ruger as I don't think I tried that. One thing to note with the Ruger BX25 and Butler Creek magazines is to make sure the mags are fully seated. The best way to ensure that is to insert the mag with the bolt open.
@chadhaire17115 ай бұрын
yes.....and DO NOT use Butler Creek junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That must be terrible ammo. My ancient stock 10/22, standard barrel, with Aguila high velocity (cheap) or CCI mini-mag is way tighter than that. My CZ 452, totally stock, at 50 yds, puts CCI mini-mags, from a sandbag, into a group the size of a nickel.

Maybe America should take better care of their companies and quit letting them go to shit just to be sold off to another country. Also maybe they should step up the game because American made is just not as good as it used to be. Pitter patter

Λυπάμαι που ακούω ότι δεν μπορείτε να τα πάρετε. Το 1022 κοστίζει συνήθως περίπου $ 325 και το Wildcat περίπου $ 238
