Hey Y'all, Y'all are NOT considering a HUGE segment of the Buying Public: Home Defense, Truck Gun, for up to 100 yds, in CONJUNCTION with people, such as myself, who are Physically Impaired! I have 3 compressions in my neck, thorasic vertebrae issues, and 3 compressions in my lumbar. Many other people have SEVERE Shoulder Issues, and so cannot handle even moderate recoil of a 5.56, .300 B.O.. I agree with you about the trigger issues, but as you did indicate, with PRACTICE, we can ADAPT. Expand your horizons gentlemen: 'one size' does NOT 'fit all'! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY

I may be wrong, but at 4:56 the trigger pull is being measured toward the top of the trigger instead near the bottom. The bottom is more leverage, and where most people tend to contact the trigger. I'd guess more leverage would mean a pound or two less trigger pull.
@timbaker44234 ай бұрын
I noticed that as well. The actual trigger pull is about five lbs.

I have been doing my homework and have been watching and reading reviews on the Ruger 5.7 LC. If i may point a few things out , The trigger on a hand full of other test are breaking between 4.5 and 5.5. With that average of 5. ( However when they are testing the trigger, they have their devices towards the bottom of the trigger and are pulling the trigger down and back) yun's had yall's at the top. For the stock yall's is the first one to say it was lose when folded. I have seen guys put 10 rounds at 300 yard's standing and shutting free hand. Also i have found ammo every where ( yes it's on line ). Not sure how ever maybe yall got a lemon!? Thanks for your OHNEST review tho. Thays all we can ask !

I have the Ruger 57 pistol, that trigger is awful too. That being said I have a LC Carbine on order, I have 5 mags for my pistol so they'll go nice together. I also have 2000 rds of 5.7 ammo on hand. Those that say you can't find ammo, it's not that tough any more, available online at plenty of places. The American Eagle "range" ammo you can get for about .60/rd, and now AAC is starting to mfg it as well, prices are coming down. If/when someone makes an aftermarket trigger for it I'll probably upgrade the triggers in both the pistol and carbine. Canik and Walther come with great triggers, it can't be that tough Ruger!

You've got my dream pair. The LC carbine and the 57 pistol. I love that 5.7 round. And I don't see what people are complaining about with the ammo. They carry it right down the street at academy. It's just a couple of bucks more than my ammo for my 45 acp. I'd rather spend a little more on ammo and have a more effective weapon, than have someone show off their 9 mm scars at their murder trial....

Discussing calibers is just like the Ole 'Chevy vs Ford' debate(s): Everyone has their own .02 opinion(s) on 'em! I retired my trusty-dusty Ruger P89 which I EDC'd for decades, for the Ruger 57, four Summers ago. Was VERY happy to see Ruger then produce this lovely 'LC Carbine' to pair-up with! I'm not out camping/hunting any Apex natural predator in the woods/wilds, so don't need the heavier hitting calibers. My greatest concern when I'm EDC'ing this caliber are 'Man-sized-or-smaller' threats, and I have zero complaints with this caliber, # of cartridges/mag, it's VERY flat shooting, minimal recoil (For better accuracy/follow-up). Opinions vary of course, and there's great points to be made! Thank you, gentlemen, for making and sharing this video! :-)

7:55 ... I know this is a 10-month-old review now, but both Tandemkross and M-Carbo have started offering some aftermarket parts for the LC Carbine & Charger. I have the latter, and I've installed a TK muzzle brake (might be TOO effective, jury's still out) and an MCarbo trigger spring kit in it (definite improvement). Now, what I'd really like is an Apex Tactical total trigger system replacement, but I'm not holding my breath.
@AlexanderRacing358 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely love that carbine. 5.7 is an underrated caliber. You are correct that trigger is horrible. easy fix.
@mwmag Жыл бұрын
The trigger fix isn't as simple as imagined. Tandemcross does make a Victory trigger which will remove the factory trigger safety but it's not pre-travel adjustable. Since there are other factors in play the trigger replacement can make a horrible trigger somewhat better but it isn't going to address all the issues with the LC.

first channel I see trashing this Carbine, actually first time I've seen your channel. Maybe that's a good thing? The Gun I have doesn't have the best trigger but it's not as bad as you've called it. (At least mine wasn't) and I don't think it's a fair review if you shoot it a few times and hand your rounds to a buddy and walk away from it. In my opinion you shouldn't have even had any say on the gun since you didn't put the time in shooting it. What kind of a reviewer does that anyways? Should have heard from the guy that actually liked it also!

There’s a lot of people complaining about triggers in a lot of different guns. Are manufacturers supposed to put match grade triggers in everything? If I’m buying a firearm that’s fairly basic I don’t expect it to have a fantastic trigger.

I'll be honest with you I don't have a dog in the fight so to speak here however I think you guys are being a little bit whiny! Shooting a rifle unsupported at 100 yards is a little difficult if you don't know what you're doing...it would kind of compare to shooting a pistol at 50 yards, if you don't take your time it's easy to miss.
@Calqid Жыл бұрын
Get Tandemcross trigger. While at it, if you have big hands, the TC mag extensions give the other half of your hand a place to go. Rattley stock folds to make package wider than it is long. Other than that POS, a very robust tool. Guy said it felt cheap?! Nope. I will cut down on weight here and there, remove some of the rail, throw the near weightless sights away… or use them. For me, there is no use for the front half of the rail. The charging handle should fold to make descabbarding easier. 600 rds without issue.
@cliffkirby8570 Жыл бұрын
Do you think the trigger would smooth out when it breaks in like a thousand rounds or something
@moniterlizard07 Жыл бұрын
LOL a box of 50 rounds is cheaper than the majority of centerfire rounds. Remember rifle rounds come in 20 rounds boxes so you need to compare the price of 1 5.7 vs 2 1/2 boxes of centerfire. Compared to other centerfire pistols calibers only the 9mm is a lot more cheaper and once again if you figure the price of defensive 9mm it is comparable. Every one likes to compare it to a 22 magnum but actually the best comparison is probably comparing it to the 22 hornet . This is the only channel to really bash this rifle showing wither you got a lemon or it may be the shooters and not the carbine
