Always amazes me that .22's are barrel specific to brand/type/velocity, etc. I had 2 Marlin 25's, one performed great with Blazer 40gr RNL. The other shot identical groups, but with Federal AM22 40gr RNL. Thanks for sharing this video.

I have shot 12 different brands all standard velocity, suppressed. SK rifle match was the best for me, but the Norma Match did really well for 1/2 the price of the SK. I did shoot 3 SK types. I’m hoping the Shaw barrel I ordered will help tighten it up? Either way, I’m having a blast shooting it. Great upload👍👍😇

I put the same barrel on mine and found that the nose of the bullets grab the chamber when rechambering. The only fix I found was foil tape on the front of the mag to change the angle of the nose on entry. I feel like that shouldn’t have to be done. Thoughts or experience?

Sounds like a perfect fix. It probably will wear, but it's easily replaceable. That's one downfall with a lot of these 1022 style actions although the magazine is great some of the retention of it leaves a little to be desired. I don't have problems with mine, but This new barrel doesn't work great with all bullets. Like I really like the tack 22 but I can't shoot it in this chamber. I think the brass is a little bit long and it hangs up every time I get a lot of misfires. But so far that's the only ammo that's been a problem so I guess I really can't complain. I haven't been shooting these challenges in these rifles often lately because it's gotten cold and it's deer season so I kind of made a shift but I will definitely get back to them. I just picked up a new scope that I might swap onto my Marlin, but we'll see God bless and merry Christmas.!

@@cw2a Well once I ranged tested it, I epoxied that area and then used a dremel to get back down to the thickness I measured when the tape was installed. So now I use the epoxied mags for my RPRR and they work well, I just dont like I have to rely on the epoxied mags or have to epoxy mags to get them to work with that barrel chamber. It does work flawlessly though with the epoxy fix. I even tried the KIDD kit for the mag release and that gives it a nice feel but still wasnt enough to give me the proper angle. I just was curious if you had a similar issue when you installed your Shaw barrel or not. I have a new trigger coming for mine now that I look forward to trying out.

I'd like to see 20 round groups. My stock RPR will print 5 round groups like that with CCI std velocity @ 50 yards. 20 round groups open up to 2".

Good morning! I have done many 10rnd. Never twenties. No need for me Ill never need and just proving something I wont use. But I understand your need. We will nearly always see enlarged groups with more shots. I like CCI STD allot but it's never been as good as the ones I have found to be good. I have been testing resizing dies, of a few manufacturer's to be of great benefit for the occasional flyer. Rim sorting can also be a boon for this.

Unfortunately the only way to get one of those rifles to shoot, is to replace the barrel. SK shoots sub MOA out of my CZ457 mtr. SK was bought by Lapua back in the 90's, before they became Nammo.

@@geordiegeorge9041 Morning George! Im just learning the manufacturers/owners of this ammo. I know Wolf was SK and now is Eley as well. I have not been able to acquire a single box of any Lapua. All sources I have never have in stock but a few do list it but it is always OOS. Thanks for the info!! 🤘🏼🙏❤️‍🩹
