Eh, everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. This is exactly what Glock should have offered for a long time, but Glock doesn’t care about consumer sales. Larger beaver tail, no finger grooves, a fantastic optic mount, metal sights, and a modular platform. It’s actually a brilliant idea, and I am excited to see where it goes if Magpul and Ruger stay committed. I hated my Gen 3 19, and I love this thing so far. Edit: Subscribed, it is refreshing to hear a well thought out opinion, even if we disagree. Thanks for the video!

The problem is a G19 or any other model would cost a lot more than 499 if they made it add a 100 bucks for sights a 100 probably 150 for optics mount now the frame idk I would like to try one before I would say yes or no
@CharlesClementsjr
@CharlesClementsjr 10 күн бұрын
@@gunnutbikenut6939street price is 399. Heck, I remember spending north of 150.00 when I bought a Gen 3 19, just to remove the finger grooves and fix the grip texture! Then there was the connector swap, and metal night sights.

I absolutely love the RXM. RFUGER can still make a different gun whenever they feel like it. Just because they made this one doesn't mean they can't make something else at any point in time. I find the RXM great & when I can get a Full Frame for it I'll be even happier.

picked one up last night. Was not impressed until I held it. Just feels great in the hand with the 1911 grip angle. Probably one of the very best SHTF guns out there for the price. Gen 3 parts are everywhere and when it all goes south, this one would be a very good one to have on your hip. Is it that ground breaking? Not really if you don't care about the removable FCU....which I do not.

just an fyi - you cant find the bul optics ready model anywhere for less than 500. just checked gun deals. the majority are in the 550 range. the rxm on the other hand is 399 at most places with a few in the 350 arena. im okay with you not liking the gun but please dont try ti justify it with some bs. its okay that you dont like it! we get it. you dont like the fact that ruger built a glock.
@GSquaredTactical
@GSquaredTactical 11 күн бұрын
No need to “fyi” something I already know bud. I paid less than $350 out the door for the Bul in this video and I said you can get a optic ready version and can even get this one (one in video obviously) for $350 and can even find the optic ready version “on sale” you know like blue light special, Black Friday forth of July you know “on sale” for $350 because those are facts and if that’s what you are going to pick out of the video because you don’t like what I said about a gun you like then drive on pal because I can prove with paper receipt that I paid $299.99 for the Bul in this video and I’ve personally saw the optic ready version “on sale” for $350. Same as I said some people are asking $499 for the RXM but most are asking $399. That doesn’t mean I’m lying about it and trying to make it more expensive than $399 it’s just stating a fact that I’ve saw it “listed” for $499. I honestly don’t even have to address comments like this because no other YT channel reads their comments much less responds and I know one YTuber personally with 1.2m subs that never looks at comments because of stuff like this. It’s one thing to say…hey Bud I just wanted to let you know that yeah maybe you can find this one for $300 bucks but the OR version is closer to. $500. It sounded like you said the OR was $300 or $350 as well. You know something that resembles you actually trying to help and be constructive rather than assuming and literally accusing of someone of lying for the sake of promoted a product as if I work for Bul Armory or something. Move on and happy trolling.

The main selling point for me is the compatibility with a lot of aftermarket Gen 3 Glock parts, and the ability to use Glock mags. I’ve owned several Rugers and I love them, but they get you on the extra magazine prices because they’re always priced through the roof. Having a cheap Glock Clone that I don’t care if it gets stuck in an evidence locker for six months, fits most of my existing holsters and can use all of the mags I already have is a big marketing plus.

Glock has so many guns with minor differences. The differences are minimal and the trigger and sights have to be replaced right out of the box. Some like the Glock 29 don’t offer an optics cut. For people who reload lead bullets you have to get a new barrel. For a tuned Glock you’ll be paying close to $1000, perhaps more. Ruger did it all for $399. Is it perfect? Not so much maybe but it is the best inexpensive Glock clone out there that has everything you need in a striker fired pistol and with the possibility of some neat Magpul lowers coming soon. And no one has griped about anyone else copying the Glock. It’s an absolute winner!

The other reviewer you referenced figured out what was happening with his pistol. His slide stop had a lot of slop in it so it wasn’t consistently being moved out of the way by a full mag. He was able to bend it so that it functions now.

G squad tactical, I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment that ruger made a mistake not making their own polymer grip. This was a very smart decision for two reasons. First, Magpul has a very established reputation that reaches a broader market in the gun market. They are the masters of polymer game and can do a better product at a cheaper price than ruger can. With different color options and I’m sure with different size options and styles coming in the future this has the biggest aftermarket company supporting it that can make quick improvements if they have enough feedback. Also, some of its clone competitors do not fit designated Glock holsters as well which is a big deal, I will not get a gun if I can’t easily find a host of holsters for it. Second, the FCI in the RXM is extremely smart. I know a few other manufacturers have this, but the only other manufacturer that was successful in terms of aftermarket support and sales was sig. the echelon and others who have this same concept with a FCU/FCI system are not as successful because they don’t have a big aftermarket company backing them up with multiple color or size options and since it is has only a very small share in the pistol market, holster options will be more limited than what the RXM has from the jump. If ruger did their part making it as reliable as a Glock, this platform may be more successful than the sig p320 and P365 lineup. From a view of economics and options, the RXM may surpass its competitors in a short time with sells if they can keep the reliability up to glock standards and if they (and Magpul) start rolling out more options now and not dead their feet. There is nothing as annoying as when a company promotes a “modular” gun and drops the ball to make additional parts to meet the definition of modular. If they come out with a full size g17 type size soon that is compatible with the existing FCI and also sell the FCI and additional slides and grips on their website and to distributors (like sig does now, but at a better price). This gun will make record sales and may even be considered worth adopting by law enforcement departments.

I hear you. My first plastic carry gun was the Ruger SR9c. I never had an issue with it. I switched to the Glock 19 Gen 4 years ago. Not because the Ruger was not performing but, because I wanted mag and ammo compatibility with Carbine Platforms. I think this is a great move by Ruger. I predict this will be the most successful pistol of 2026. Just like when Ruger came out with there little 9mm carbine they made it compatible with Glock Mags. This gun has all of the features and probably better ergos than a Glock. Thanks for your review.

Your first review on this gun seemed unfair, but this one better articulated your complaints. My issue with Glocks are poor ergonomics and that chunky trigger guard. Shot my glock for 19 years and in 19 years never enjoyed shooting it. Still looking for a new edc. As far as tubers having issues with the RXM. Chuke had some jams. the pmag lip is reduced compared to the glock magazines, they can be modified easily to better fit into the ruger, the glock mags tend to push on the slide stop when inserted because the lip on regular mags is slightly larger than the pmags. im still probably going to get one, i have a g17 g3, love it. for 500 though on sale, i dont love it compared to the prices on the clones. i prefer heavier guns and steel frames. to each their own. thanks for the review! merry xmas to you and yours bud

@@richardsmith5532 Yes, exactly. The SR1911 is the perfect mix of options for a 1911. Series 70, tungsten firing pin and titanium feed ramp in the aluminum frame models at a decent price for a serviceable gun out of the box. This G19 clone is the same thing. It takes all the features people want and packages them together for a decent price. It's the total package that makes it work. Checks off all the boxes and adds a few boxes like the FCI that we didn't even know we wanted.

Many manufacturers make improved 1911s without complaint. Ruger, along with others, have produced their first iteration of an improved 3G Glock. Technically, the RXM is not a clone. Clones are fully identical. The RXM is not. The mechanism was adopted from the g3 because of its record of reliability & low parts count simplicity. The problem is with Glock. They ignored their customer’s suggestions for decades, so now they have to face competition. It is the American way. It is evolution, like what happened to the 1911 & Colt. You don’t have to always reinvent the wheel. The wheel have worked pretty damn well for many years & is open to REFINEMENT.
@GSquaredTactical
@GSquaredTactical 11 күн бұрын
I get what you are saying I really do but Ruger has always been their own wether one liked that or not and I feel they had a big opportunity to make something their own as you will never see Glock cloning a LCP or LC9 or Security etc. Also this is the closet I’ve saw to an identical clone of a Glock outside of being optic ready. That’s what I’m saying there are definitely better options at $399 in fact a lot better options and never mind the fact that a great American company cloned a foreign competitor, but they did not even really do that very well. The finish looks cheap. It just overall feels cheap and it’s funny to me. How that all of this is starting to come out now when the reviewers who actually bought their firearm, starts to get their hands on them and do reviews. Check out tactical Advisor video and listen to what he has to say 14 malfunctions in his first 300 realms and he purchased the gun with his own money. Prior to that all you heard was raving great and wonderful reviews and I’m wondering when people will finally figure out the only reason for that is because the manufacturer will cherry pick KZbin reviewers to send them to so that they can create a lot of hype around it so people will run out and spend their hard earned money. I’m waiting for the day that KZbin channel is like mine will gain in popularity, and the people who are stretching the truth about reviews because they don’t want to bite the hand that feeds them starts to lose subscribers, in lieu of people who are blue collar and actually bought the gun themselves like you and me. But sadly that’s never going to happen because inherently people want to be lied to they want to hear that their favorite brand is awesome.

Ruger coulda shoulda woulda... Maybe. But what they did do was actually perfect the Glock with just the right mix of features and quality and price that's going to be hard to beat. As soon as the 26 size frames, barrels, and slides come available I'm buying them, without any paperwork. That's brilliant. No issues getting backups for most everything, a real pepper advantage. Mag compatibility, brilliant. Sig only wishes they could have done this well, though Sigs do have that remote random fire option which keeps life exciting. The Ruger's and Glocks are boring in that regard. This Ruger is a big deal. The quality is there. The reliability so far seems there. I much prefer this gun over any Gen 3,4,5 Glock. (And I have more Glocks than my wife should ever know about. But some are now going up for sale.) And it's 3 OZ lighter than any of my M&P's. Finally a real Glock alternative.

Magpul, who designed the lower, tends to go with a more blocky design when it comes to their grips. I have the Magpul MOE K2 XL installed on both my AR15 and Ruger PC Charger 9mm because i have huge hands. Grip really is an issue of preference. I can't stand Glock's grip geometry, which is why I prefer CZ. The P10 series just feels better in my hand. Same is true for the MOE K2 XL. I do agree with you, though, that the RXM looks very plain and basic compared to the other two you showed. Magpul needs some new designers! Lol!

They made a better Glock plain and simple! It’s modular and I like that but you said “what are you paying for raised sights and an optic cut” heck yea you are! I put Raised tritium sites on all my Glocks and pay $100, and you’re looking at a minimum of $250 to have a slide cut. So I’d say they killed it with the slide because the mos that Glock offers is lame and you end up with a plate if you want something other than a Trijicon RMR, but like with my favorite striker fired gun the echelon you can put most optics on the Ruger with no plate and that’s big. And I agree the grip frame is a bit underwhelming but I think the reason for that is because that’s the base model from magpul and I have a feeling they’re gonna offer some bad to the bone grip modules soon, after all it’s mag pull but you’re gonna pay for them. If they gave you the top tier module right off the batt they would’ve had to charge more for the gun. Any good striker fired pistol is $500 plus. I’m thinking the idea was throw a basic frame on it and give it a $399 MSRP then offer a bunch of really nice modules later so the customer can pick one that fits them best. Then the customer gets to pick the module or modules they like and magpul sells more frames. Win Win! Also I just took the Ruger out yesterday and put 500 rounds of mixed ammo through it with no problems so it’s probably gonna be a reliable pistol. And all striker fired pistols are basically copies of a Glock so why not go with the top selling design but improve it by making it modular and giving the consumer the metal tritium sights and optic cut most of them want? Anyway I think it’s a great gun and was a great idea but I also agree and wish some of these American companies would step up and give us better products that are innovative and well made. I grew up a Chevy fan but today as a HVAC contractor all my work trucks and personal vehicles are Toyotas and my wife has a Honda pilot. The last Tacoma I sold was a 2006 with 480,000 miles on the original motor still running great and unfortunately you don’t get that from the American made products!

Thanks! I've handled Ruger's security, american, lcp etc. semi-autos at the gun store many times and was never impressed with the quality per price ratio. So, for me I just steer clear of them. I agree they just gave up!

It’s sad because the reality is I genuinely do not hate Ruger at all. I have literally never liked one of their polymer frame offerings not one and I was super stoked at the prospect of them redoing it giving it a facelift if you will, but I thought they would simply stay with one of their More popular designs and just improve upon that basically stay themselves, but make it better and this is what we get

I don’t know, but I can say this. It’s funny to me now that some of the KZbin videos that are coming out with some issues with magazines and mounting optics. Funny how that happens when the videos of people who actually purchased the firearm starts to come out.

They could’ve done better both Ruger and Magpull have the manufacturing capacity to make something great but they made it look like one of those cheap Turkish copies of a Glock. When you compare to Springfield, the XD and the echelon they look very rugged and tough and feel more premium. But there’s nothing special about this specially for the price if they wanna actually sell this, it should be around the 250 to 275 range.

Me too bro I’ve never understood people fascination with Ruger polys. If it’s a rifle or revolver ok be every single one of their poly suck and rust. Even their 1911’s will rust.

My only gripe that I can tell after seeing it at my local gun store is that the color launch is wack imo and the mag release is funky looking it looks like it was added last minute or something it just looks R worded imo.

Thanks for the information. I hate the sight of Glocks. I will never buy one. I had considered the new Ruger/ Glock clone. Mixed reviews are concerning. I agree that Ruger has stepped backwards. I have several Rugers I have been happy with. I feel they have made a huge mistake.

I don't mind glock clones personally. As long as it's done right. They've completely failed all throughout with this pistol. The grip from magpul is dog 💩! The slide was really loose when I was racking it, and the trigger was way worse than any glock trigger that I dry fired. They've completely missed this one! They couldn't even clone a Gen 3 glock and get it right! The only things I do like about it ( albeit they were done poorly) are the FCI and the optic mounting system. Still horribly done! Swing and a miss!
