Each time I hear this, I wish it were possible to watch the whole Last Night 2015 on line. I have watched every last night of the Proms since I was a teenager in the 1950s, and Jonas Kaufmann was superb. His diction was perfect.

Amazing that even after singing Wagner and heavy Italian roles, he can still sing scales and decorations with great flexibility. It does seem momentarily odd for a German to sing Rule Britannia. They did have those little spats in the World Wars, but this shows that peace is possible anywhere.
