I know I think that's so... almost disrespectful that such a proud song is sung wrong and with support at one of the most glamourous events of the year. She really should have learnt the song if she was a good singer, all the others have done in the past, its not like its a difficult song to learn - i know it off by heart! I hope that Rule Britannia gets some kind of revival next year because I was actually saddened by this years performance. :(

Over the years of watching the Proms, you see in the crowd of flags of countries that visit the UK scattered through the crowd. But it's a bit disturbing that the EU flag saturates the crowd, I don't believe this is by chance with the current state of UK politics.

The BBC still playing this music reluctantly, dragging their heels all the way. The host even commented in the run up to this year's event that this music "enrages half the country" - presumably all the lefties and migrants. A good effort by the singer but underwhelming without the massed crowds in parks across the country like it used to be only 10 or so years ago. They've truly succeeded in ripping the soul out of this country and they've stamped on it for good measure. They've replaced the patriots in the crowd with mean-spirited, self-loathing euro-federalists - apparently we have the EU to thank for the likes of Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory etc...
