I watched whole show, every season, every episode and there was no cake for Adam. Not even once. Jeff was always right.

This show was the most honest in depicting differences between men and women. Not sure if it could be made today.

Adam: Jen ordered a cake plate for our wedding there's going to be cake Jeff: sorry to disappoint you but there's not going to be any cake. Adam: wh what do you mean. Jeff: I mean there's not going to be any cake. Adam: no no look she signed up for a cake plate so there's got to be cake Jeff: we have a cake plate twelve years no cake. Adam: how can that be Jeff: I don't know we also have a juicer no juice a waffle maker no waffles quesadilla maker Adam: oh yeah i like quesadi- Jeff: no senor Adam: that doesn't make any sense Jeff: I know welcome aboard. Adam: no no no no I I don't want to be trapped in a cakeless marriage. Jeff: again welcome aboard. "Pats him on the shoulder." Adam: there has to be cake there will be cake. 🍰 cbs cancelled this show way too soon there should have been at least one or two more seasons. i first saw this show on the cw though and it's very funny and hilarious the creator's are geniuses and the writers and writing is brilliant. the best part about this scene is that's not what their really talking about though and Adam and Jeff are saying cake🍰 but they are not really talking about cake cake is a metaphor what they are really doing is using "cake" as a "metaphor" for marriage and talking about how "marriage" is "bad" and how there's really nothing good about it "nothing."
