Great to see! I have a very old and somewhat knackered pair of salomon shorts with the same belt setup. The newer version doesn't look as good as the old and the price in insane. The T8's look really really good. Thanks for shedding light!

Just got a pair of these, too, but haven't taken 'em out yet. I think apart from the liners (T8 or PathProjects for me), the other KEY THING IS SIZING, as you note Loyd, as these shorts are really made for the Asian market. If anything, I'd counsel people to size a full size (if not two) UP from the usual as they are... um... form-fitting. But they are great, tons of storage, and great for summer. If you have a bit of belly, the tabs/shorts/string can fold over but they are a great pair of shorts. Great review, as usual.

Not sure if it has changed in the past 2 months but the website says 34-35 inch waist for UK/US in size Large. Would you say that's about right? I don't see why you would need to size up if they are using local measurements..?

Got a pair when i was out in thailand, only short I'll wear in hot weather. Six months running everyday in plus 30° @ 90% humidity and they still look like new!

I’ve had the t8 Sherpa’s for some years and they are the best running shorts I’ve ever had. (compared to Salomon, Nike , Acics, Craft, running is dead etc.)

I’ve been using T8 for a couple years now (Loyd brought it to my attention!) I’ve been in the Ultra Sherpa for a couple mths, and these are certainly a step up from the original Sherpa, much more breathable. Only complaint is the pole holder, in the move it’s not exactly easy to get in and out, especially in. Maybe I’m just not doing it right. Otherwise top level shorts, pockets are great, no slipping, bib holder is maybe my favourite feature, especially when paired with the great commandos(I have 6 pairs). Thanks as always Loyd!

Hi Loyd, I really like your videos. It’s very informative and also very entertaining. Love that science bouncing test 👍😀 But I would like to thank you for one more thing. This morning I was just lazy and I didn’t want to go outside for run. Then I watched your video from the Loch Ness race and I got shamed of myself. Great to see T8 reach to UK! I am from Hong Kong and a big fan of T8. I have 5 pairs of T8 running shorts and I use them in all my races, be them road runs or trial runs. The problem to me is that the shorts are just so durable that I have no excuse to get a new pair. Thanks Loyd for the review, and I love watching your reviews and race recaps. Great work!

Thanks for the video Loyd and these look great but to be honest other than the pole carrying feature my decathlon trail shorts which I’ve had for about 3 years worn and washed a hundred times and are still good as new have all the other features of the T8’s are super comfortable and cost just £23. You pay your money you take your choice! 👍

£25 will get you a nice pair of Evadict Trail Shorts from Decathlon with plenty of storage options and secure zipped pockets.

I’ve actually got a pair of the Evadict trail shorts and they’re ok but they’re not a patch on the T8 shorts as far as build quality, fabrics and performance goes 👍

I have a pair of regular T8 shorts, but unfortunately the storage compartment on the waistband is not long enough to hold salomon 500ml soft flask, and can only hold T8 300ml soft flask. Can T8 Ultra Sherpa Shorts hold salomon 500ml soft flask?

I would definitely go a size up, I’ve had two pairs of T8 shorts and they both sized small. I’m a 32-33” waist and I’m 6ft 1” tall 👍

Love their underwear, really comfortable. Shorts look the same good quality, I prefer a baggier short so probably not for me but a great brand.
