This looks amazing! Would you serve as a dessert or side dish?

It would consider a dessert but when I was a little kid, I would have it as a snack. 😁

This dish is a snack food but could be served as a side dish. It's sweet but would not be served as a dessert.

Chi Trang, will try this too 😊I need to buy fresh ones. Is there a way to lua cassava? I always get cassava with black/brown threads and sometime with a smell.

Hi em Thanh, it's tough to tell from the outside sometimes because the skin is thick and waxy. Make sure the cassava is hard and there are no soft spots. It should smell fresh and not have any odor. Break off a piece of the end and it should be white and solid. If the cassava has black lines or spots in the white flesh, don't buy it. Hope that helps!

Great recipe - I need this for my middle of the night snack right now. I've eaten casava, but never prepared it myself. I'm gonna see if I can do this with the fresh casava without killing myself since it has cyanide or whatever in it if not prepped properly. LOL!

Thank you friend! As long as you thoroughly cook cassava, it's safe to eat! Enjoy!
