When buying our older camper, we knew there were going to be some needed repairs. We were just hoping they would be manageable. In this video we go over our list of first repairs that we did as well as some wanted upgrades within the first few months of ownership.

►2015 Lance 1172, bought it in February 2024 as a private sale from South Carolina.
►2023 Northern Lite 10-2 EX SE Dry Bath, We bought it in June 2023.
►2020 Lance 1172 - We purchased from Southland RV in Atlanta, GA - July 2022 before our 3 week trip out west. Sold it in June 2023.
►2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper in October 2021. We were contacted by a couple of subscribers (now good friends) who had theirs up for sale in Upstate New York so we headed out on an adventure. We sold our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 within one day of listing it online.
►2014 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 in August 2021 from RVOne near Charlotte, NC. Todd was headed to buy a brand new Bigfoot 10.4 just before we got the Lance 975 but when he got to Southland RV, it was sold. That's when we decided to go to the Lance 975. We knew at some point in the future we'd have a Bigfoot again and here it is.
►2021 Lance 975 - We got our new 2021 Lance 975 from Chattanooga Fish n Fun in Hixson, TN in August 2020. After looking at several models, we decided on the Lance 975 (Check out Brad's channel from Chattanooga Fish n Fun, he gives great, thorough overviews of some really nice boats and campers.) We sold the Lance 975 in August 2021.
►2019 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Bought and delivered from Mountain Motors in Troy, MO on 12/2019 and sold it in 01/2020.
►2005 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Picked up on 8/10/2019 we did major repairs, maintenance and renovations to this one and sold it in 12/2019.
2008 Bigfoot 21RB - Sold 12/2019, we went across country to purchase from a dealer in Pueblo Colorado.
►2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe - Sold 07/2018 when we bought our Bigfoot.
►2002 A-liner - Sold 05/2017 when bought our 2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe.

I changed mine out for the lithium type to charge lithium better .

They take those steps because they can drag on the ground at least that’s what a guy told me when Oakes him what happen to your steps.

Buying USED is really "smart", .... And I agree, with a bit of "maintenance" it will continue to give you a great camping experience for decades to come .... (Well, IF you guys actually KEEP this one ....LOL 🤣😉 ) You do tend to swap out campers and trucks quite often, ... (compared to the average owner....) 😁 Have a GREAT day folks !!

Nice camper, and the upgrades are so worth the peace of mind and satisfaction. I have a 27 ft 5th wheel that needs a lot of things done, it sit for years because my husband had a stroke, a project for sure but willing to stick some money in her because they don’t make models like it anymore and the price of a new one is outrageous. Should get interesting.

Did you use the same upgrade AC you had previously installed in the Northern Lite?

Great video, very informative! I like the looks of the Lance camper better, but in order to avoid any water leaks I think I would go for a Northern Lite being a two piece fibreglass shell, what are your thoughts? Gerry.

Hi Gerry, they are both great campers just different. Even with the fiberglass campers maintenance is still necessary to make sure they don't leak. There may be no wall seams, but they still have all the same vents, fan etc. sticking up through the roof that need to be sealed. In the long run the fiberglass shell will last longer I'm sure. We keep ours in the garage so that helps a lot keeping it out of the weather. Thanks for watching!

Hi, we love your all your upgrades and fixes. You mentioned you were considering replaceing your stove/convection-microwave oven to a regular rv oven. We are considering replacing or conventional rv oven/stove with what you are replacing. I'm all about saving money so would you consider a swap if you decide to change and we will through in the microwave to. We have a 2022 Lance 1172. Just a thought. Great video and MODs to your camper! I laughed as you talked about changing your toilet and adding a shut off valve because that is exactly what I did as well!

Nice changes and upgrades. The removal of the gold graphics made it look so much better. I really like the look and think I’d just stick with that. The Houghton A/C is on the list for our 2021 1172! Great job guys!
