Nice review. Sun should soon be in the forecast now that it's meteorological spring for you. The perspective in this video, with the wingtips in view, is more pleasant compared the 2.7K 60 GyroFlow video, where the tips are cropped out most of the time.

Yes any 5V source will power the Thumb, allowing recording by pushing the shutter button. But only the new Runcam Thumb 2 has PWM remote control, all the others require connection to FCB for remote control.

Do you plug it into receiver? Does it provide 5V? Is there an option to power it with a lipo?

BEC or ESC provides 5V for the receiver, then camera plugs in to the receiver, or a flight control board.

Andrew how do I connect the run cam pro to my receiver (Spektrum ) to turn record on and off. the instructions only show flight controllers.

I just bought a non4k version and wishing i got the 4k, i couldn't get rid of the black bars cause of the really low res on my latest vid on my channel I think i might grab a 4j version now! :D You should check out my wing wing video was hoping you could give me a few tips on how to work gyroflow

It just misses the last 2 seconds roughly. Reflections on the phone screen can prevent scanning, but it definitely works as you would have seen in the video.

Nice camera do, buttttt, is a waste of money if you buy it, why because is a FPV cameras that need other vendors software to stabilize, for the double price, you get a go2 that you can use every where, for family, action camera, well everything so for my opinion is just to accumulate more and more cameras that will go in few months is the forget box.

"other vendors software" that's free and open-source. I think that expend the double on a camera that does just the same it's a waste of money, at least if you plan on using it for FPV only. For family there's nothing that a phone couldn't do better than this, and you just have to add a battery to make this an action camera.

I will never buy this runcam piece of crap ever again. It stops recording randomly whenever it wants. Not recommending.
