Runner's World

Күн бұрын

Every evening visitors to Miami’s South Beach are treated to a sight as reliable as the sunset: A moving landmark, shirtless, clad in a black sweatband, black shorts, one black glove, and gray shoes, who can be seen completing his eight mile run along the shore. Born Robert Kraft, his friends and running tribe call him Raven.

New Balance should make a Raven pair of shoes. I'd buy them. He's worn that brand for years! Great man!

Just glad that the powers that be could make an exception for him. Many times such requests are met with a cold no because they are afraid to make an exception for one person. I'd suggest that if they have other requests backed by enough people that they schedule the times of day that each person can run and put a sign up to explain who the people are and turn it into a positive thing that people can support.

Someone has to say it. What is the definition of running, as while the streak probably started as running, he is clearly walking here. Looks like the streak should be "travelled on foot" or something but no longer a "running streak". congrats to him for being so consistently exercising.

@@dustinreed944 I'd agree with Alejandro, and I'm a cross country runner. He should try running on something like grass instead, still a soft surface but not as much as sand if he's running on the sand for his joints or for less impact. And he really should be wearing some kind of brace for his back, to keep it straight after all these years running.
