Boss should do a tutorial vid for the entire pedalboard setup. With this pedal i kind a confuse how to use the wet dry wet system since the last chain on mostly pedal board were a reverb pedal. Which some has stereo out and some dont.

The I/O on the SDE-3000D and the SDE-3000EVH is different. The EVH version has 3 outputs - Effect Left, Effect Right, and Direct/Center, whereas the SDE-3000D has just Left and Right outputs. The EVH version also has an effects loop Send and Return. The presets in the EVH version utilize these additional Ins and Outs, so the EVH presets wouldn't work as intended on the SDE-3000D.

Each delay is independently switchable. Each delay should turn on or off as you click its own footswitch. Check out 12:44 onwards.

its a bit of a different beast. The DD-500 has many more modes, where as SDE-3000 is using all its power to completely replicate the 2 stereo SDE-3000 with all its glory.

The EVH has a serious flaw. If you want to use a reverb unit in front of this, there is no way to preserve the stereo signal in without losing the loop. If you gonna lose the loop, might as well get the non-EVH unit and save some money. This oversight really pisses me off, and frankly I think I like the TC2290p better anyway.

Hey! The purpose of using the EVH in its Mono in is to preserve the dry signal of your guitar through the direct out, and output left and right stereo through EFX L and R - WET left, Dry Middle, WET right. If you are running a reverb before in this configuration, it defeats the purpose, as the direct out should be dry guitar signal to preserve the original guitar tone. In this case I recommend running the Reverb after the SDE-3000 from the EFX L / R outputs to your reverb in stereo. You can still run the EVH stereo in and out, but you're right the SDE-3000D can do this too, though you would not have the EVH presets, of which there are two sets, one designed for true wet dry wet (mono in, 3 out), and normal stereo in stereo out (2 in 2 out). Using the EVH Wet Dry Wet is not for everyone, but it is the specific way Eddie ran it, so that is what the spec is. The EVH team went through rigorous testing with BOSS so I can guarantee you it is not a flaw! Eddie was a perfectionist, and so is his team!

@@DannyUnderwood I am sure for Ed it was not a flaw. For me, it ruins the purpose of the unit having the loop. I already run wdw and the inability to give it a stereo in without losing the loop is dumb. With that said, there just isnt room for another input.

Dude, I need this box! How many watts is it? Does it have a sweet spot? Is it transgender friendly? Covid compatible? Can it get Eddy's "Smells like teen spirit" tone? Does Eddie personally endorse this tool for guitarists? Asking for a friend

Same as always with the videos of this thing! Great demos of what it can do but still NO ONE will show how to make a preset and explain how to use the foot buttons to cycle between 4 presets or to cycle between the baked in EVH ones vs your custom ones. It seems like you have no choice but to bend down and press buttons to get to all the presets which is ridiculous. The manual has not been helpful at all. I love how this thing sounds but compared to my old DD-200, it’s not very user friendly to cycle between presets. I’m likely gonna just sell it for a cheap price just to get rid of it. What a bummer.

And an Audi R8 is just a car. The wet/dry/wet features of the EVH pedal are unique and a serious time, money and headache saver for anyone who wants to try that setup. And the sounds you get when you do are simply majestic. The 3000 was and once again is one of the all-time best sounding delays for guitar - it’s like a bottle of 1999 DRC LaTache Burgundy compared to a 2 Pound bottle of plonk when you compare it to most other delays. Those who can tell the difference will know the difference!
