Best vijo I’ve seen on this subject! Especially like how you drew attention to the use of the word “convert” AND more peeps ought to use the magnifier!!!!
@IanWaugh2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. It's easy to use 'convert' instead of 'bridge'. I still do occasionally 😱 Alas, I use the magnifier out of necessity buut I'm sure it also helps many people 👍

Thank you for sharing this Ian... I been through 3 days of max frusration after updating Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 to latest version where they have quitely removed 32 bit support. I just bought that license. I am so massively happy because it preserves old projects. Not using 32 bit alot these days but it felt like someone came to my home and burned all stuff i havent used in a few years.

Thank you for the comprehensive guide. I was shocked when I upgraded to cubase 11, opened my project, and all my 32 bit plugins were blacklisted. It was a bit devastating (pun intended)

Glad you found it useful. It's a shame developers didn't retain compatability or at least include support for JBridge but at least it's a relatively inexpensive solution. Thank you for your support.

Great video. This is where im at now also,, going finally make the move to a 64bit daw after decades of using a 32bit daw. I have lots of old 32bit plugs that my old projects require. Jbridge is literally an invaluable tool in this case because without a bridge i wont be able to load the parts of those old projects in the new 64bit daw. I have to say my experience running 64bit plugs in a 32bit daw however have not been good with jbridge. Instability, jittery gui's and lits of freeze ups including crashing the whole daw. Not good.

Hi - yes, I've noticed that some cancause problems from time to time. Cubase will occasionally take it into its head to blacklist some. I re-enable them if/when I need them but usually just keep the ones Cubase is happy with.

I have JBridge to run 32 bits plugin, but when close my DAW get this error como solucionar el error "Runtime error 217" any suggestion? Thank you!
@IanWaugh4 ай бұрын
I've not had such an error. If it only happens when you close your DAW you could learn to live with it 😊 not ideal but if it doesn't affect your work... I googled the error but I'm not a programmer and it was a bit over my head. It might make more sense to you. You could also get in touch with the author and see if he has any suggestions.

Thanks for a decent video. What about the latency, as Daw's count the latency (delay compensation) based on every plugin thats interesting if they include jbridge app somehow
@IanWaugh2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Darius, I haven't measured the latency but really have not noticed any. However, I tend not to use a massive number of tracks so maybe my system is handling it ok.

What are the best retro emulation vsts in your opinion ? I want to buy like 4 vst that are retro emulations. Also would you get Roland cloud just to use a Juno 106. I am trying to get a hardware synth but none are really interesting to me. Probably the prophet 5 rev 2, Juno 106....then a poly brute.
@IanWaugh3 жыл бұрын
Hi - I am personally more interested in the 'general' sound than how accurate a synth is although I do know many people really want that original analogue vibe. I have Arturia's V Collection which I think is great. However, check out Starsky Carr's channel as he does a lot of comparisons and probably has a list of the most accurate emulations. I'm not a fan of subscription services so No to the cloud 😊 but that's just me. Have you looked at Roland's ACB tech in the System 8 plug out synth. That is supposed to be incredibly accurate. Buying synths is great fun! Let's know what you decide. Good luck.

Hi Ian, Just to see if you can help me out. I've got J-Bridge and have managed to get a few 64 bit plugins converted to 32 bit. It will not let me do it anymore says no files found (0 files found) It's been driving me crazy cannot figure it out how to get it to work. Any advice would be great, thanks. Kris.
@IanWaugh2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kriss - 64-to-32 - most people do it the other way 😊 but I'm assuming the process is similar either way. First, make sure that the initial settings are correct and you have selected 64-to-32. I don't think it remembers these settings when you close it (can't remember) so it is looking for 64-but plugins rather than 32-bit ones. Secondly, and this may seem dumb 😱 but are you pointing it to 64-bit plugins? If it only sees 32-bit ones it may say no files founf. It's a while siince I used it, though, so some of this may not be accurate. However, if all the settings and files are ok, I could only suggest getting in touch with the developer. I haven't had to do this but I understand he is quite helpful. Hope this helps you get sorted 👍

A relatively recent Windows 10 update appears to have "broken" previously working JBridged 64 bit plugins in 32 bit Cubase. The problem is that the plugins come up but the window is all white. Any suggestions?
@IanWaugh3 жыл бұрын
First, you could try rolling back the update. But I'd also get in touch with the developer. If this is a global problem he may well fix it and release an update.

i have bought the program and i use it with ableton live 10 lite. The problem is that once i use a bridged plugin, i can only use it once. I can open the plugin in my daw only once, if i change my mind and want to make changes, my ableton crashes. Do you know what could be the cause of that? :v god bless!
@IanWaugh3 жыл бұрын
Hey John - Really sorry to hear that. I mentioned in the video that the guy suggested running the demo first to make sure it works ok 😢 I don't use Ableton so have no experience of using J Bridge in it. I'm guessing there could be several reasons. Do all bridged plugins crash or just one? Crashing can be a memory issue. Try it with a different DAW. When you have more info, get in touch with the developer. Hope this helps a little and things are resolved.

Does this work for Apple MacBook
@IanWaugh3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharone - The software I looked at in the video was Windows only. However, the developer has similar software for the Mac. I don't currently have a Mac so can't comment further but you can check it out here: jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridgem/ Hope that helkps.

This is why the sampler is a godsend you record every note from an octave and reconstruct your sounds. Same with new or older analog synth you take a synth from the 80s it will still work as long as the hardware on it didn't burn out or something nowadays they are making you depend on updating your OS regularly, your daw than all of your vsts. Same goes for the phones. Update this update that your phone is no longer supported with this app... materialistic swine. Lol
