Hi Mike. It would be very helpful to round things off with a video about how to warm up (e.g. sets & %s) and how to select attempts for the meet. Thanks for your help you legend!

I watched this last year in June prepping for a meet and I just didn’t really understand. Now with a little under a year more of experience I am so excited to give this a shot and see how it goes at my meet!

Comes back from Nationals after getting second by 5lb, after lowballing squat and bench to focus on a deadlift record (which I got, but still)... Does a PR set of 9 on squat while the androgen levels are still high. I'll deload when all the slow esters have cleared my system, in the meantime I gotta do this thing for my mind and all that. Luckily the coming deload is also going to be a full 2-3 month chill time into a cardio-endurance block.

Loved this series! I’m wondering what to do if I hit RPE 10 and/or plateau on one exercise, but not the others. Do I deload JUST that exercise? Do I deload everything? Or should that not happen/do I revise my programming?

at risk of sounding like an idiot, could Smolov Jr. be considered a peaking program minus the 4th RPE 9 week? could it be made more effective with the addition of that 4th week??

I want to run a last minute meet and have 7 weeks, including the taper/meet week. I just finished 2 strength blocks and am deloading this week. Should I run 3 wks strength, deload, then 2 wks peak + taper? Or flip the numbers?

So wait. Lets say i want to start doing powerlifting, no competing. So which workout should i use? Because powerlifting there are 3 apparently

There are 3 lifts. Squat, Bench and Deadlifts. 3 Phases in a normal powerlifting plan.Starting with hypertrophy (6-12 Reps) (getting more muscles), then a strength pase (3-6 reps)(using newly build muscle and adapting to higher load) and lastly (peaking).Peaking is kind of useless unless you are competing or you want just want to test your 1rep max. But your question is still not understandable,what exactly do you mean by three workouts.

Weightlifting is a weird animal anyways. They have training halls at the competitions, because you cannot even take a day off from training the snatch and clean&jerk to perform the snatch and clean&jerk.
