I'd be interested to see examples of this vs a sub-elite vs a good recreational runner for various distances. It would be good to actually see the contrast between the varying levels.

Great idea! Getting sub elite footage might be hard to get, but I'll definitely look into it!

@@JPGloria Yeah, getting footage without someone knowing they're being recorded would be challenging. Thanks for considering.

Please to do an analysis of Usain bolt and also a comparison of both runners

Absolutely love the videos! Could you briefly explain how being a hip dominant runner (3:00) will reduce vertical oscillations? Thanks so much
@JPGloria6 жыл бұрын
Sorry I didnt see this! It actually relates to how the muscles contract, which affects the way the body moves. Of course you use both hips and quads when you push off, but when you are quad dominant, it will usually cause the runner to push off a bit more vertically. When you are a hip dominant runners, you will be pushing with power from the hips. The way the glutes are position on the body causes some vertical movement, but it also causes more horizontal movement when it contracts compared to the quads.

I said it before and Ill say it again Noah Lyle's reminds me of the great Tommy Smith; his running style and general body shape...and his times aren't that bad either eh.

Hey JP love the break down! I have another question. Is he driving more with his right leg? It appears as though his right leg is raising slightly higher than his left? Would that be correct?

Your analysis of topics were quite spot on, defining them though, not so much.

I ran the 200 in middle school. I didn’t use blocks and I wasn’t the fastest and my form was bad ( I leaned forward, I shaked my head back and forth and I took huge strides.) but I never slowed down and would kill it on the last 50. I’d either close the gap, catch up and pass or loss them on the last 100

It’s funny that my PR in the 200 was when I wasn’t even trying. So I was tired from the other events I did so my plan was to not try my hardest but not be last but when I came to the final 100 I was tied for 1st so I decided to kick in the turbos and it’s funny how quickly my pace changed to leave the kid for dead.
