Carbs don't make you fat. If you have gluten intolerance, wheat and often oats can make you temporarily bloated, but that's from intestinal inflammation, not fat. Carbs also replenish your glycogen stores, which is water weight that is vital for both health, energy, electrolyte balance and hydration. Both of these factors give people the illusion that carbs make you fat. The skinniest, longest living populations eat very high carb diets, with less fat and protein.

i started indoor climbing and had similar results, but this seems to be the real deal. the idea of being able to add 3 bowls of rice to every meal without weight gain is very appealing ngl, W video mate.

As someone who comes from a family of runners and has been around the sport my whole life, this is such an unique perspective on running to me. I’m always astonished by the amount of people who are dripped out in running gear for even just 5k races..like bro you’re gonna get there in 30 min you don’t need all that, I don’t care actually it’s just funny lol You really can just eat anything tho it’s true, nice video btw 🫡

Hell yeah bro. -25 min from first to second try is so sick. YMMV but for me, marathon was totally different from a halfy but 100% worth the effort. The back half, and especially the last 1/4, will take you to new places in your psyche fr.

The carbs aspect is so true. It doesn't have to be carbs, calories are calories, but carbs are best to keep your muscles fuelled for running. I ran 11 miles today, which burned 2200 calories. That's what I burn in a day sitting on my ass. That run lets me eat twice as much food and not put weight on.

That's an eating disorder: exercise bulimia

@@telesniper2 It's really not. It's being fed up with being overweight and unfit, and enjoying the increase in food intake that goes along with a more active lifestyle. My whole life I've ate what I wanted and not cared about the excess body fat it has caused. Now I've taken up running, I know that it's absolutely fine to consume more calories when I'm exercising more. The crucial thing is that I'm not exercising for the sake of being able to eat more. I'm exercising because it feels good and it's very good for my body. Being able to eat more is merely a consequence of enjoying exercise, and this appeals to me as someone who formerly enjoyed eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. Now I'm just aware of the energy my body is using, and adjusting how much I consume accordingly.

sign up for more local events, they'd be way cheaper and you will meet people that you can actually plan runs with afterwards too.
