I think the lip syncs were filmed not very long after they were eliminated- like, the same day.. The judges were still there from the episode with the same outfits on

Jiggly is eliminated on episode 2 but the judge of Serena vs Jiggly is from episode 3. Silky is eliminated on episode 3 but the judge of Jiggly vs Jiggly is from episode 4.. and so on... (Except for Eureka)

If it weren't for Silky, this whole lipsync battle wouldn't have been entertaining. Like, I wanted to see what Silky would do next, but other than maybe one or two others who maybe could have or should have won their battles, it wasn't all that interesting. This didn't have the boom, mic drop surprise that a whole season's worth of "what's going to happen" built up to. As much as it pains me to say this, I think Silky may have lost it to Eureka in the end---she really did come through with the passion that kind of went with the song. We shall see...

I wouldn’t be mad at a double shantay just because Silky ate! I do feel the game within a game should have been it’s own episode. So none of the top 4, the eliminated queens return and chat, deliberate and do knockouts among each other. The top 4 queens then vote for the Queen that won each lip sync.

This episode was the best episode of the season and one of the best of the series! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 for Silky bringing what we were hoping to see from her. That solo "lipsych" was EVERYTHING😆 I really wish we saw that vs Akeria. Silky had the best lipsynchs all season in one episode. At this point just bring her back or both her and Eureka. It would be heartbreaking to see her go after streaking to the end. Thanks for the review.

In terms of lipsyncing on Drag Race, Silky 100% redeemed herself from Season 11 and it made me SO HAPPY. Honestly seeing any of the S11 girls getting a redemption just feels so good because they DESERVE IT. Out of all the lipsyncs, Jan vs Silky was HANDS DOWN my favorite, and like you Matty, I HONESTLY thought Jan was gonna take it, cuz she FUCKING FOUGHT, but I'm at least glad she was able to leave on a high note and ACTUALLY deliver a strong performance when it comes to DR Lipsyncs. But I'm also glad you gave Scarlet some credit too because she really did great, I LOVED her spin onto the floor into another spin, but god forbid production giving a shit about her at all. As much as I hate to say this, I am preparing for the end result to be Eureka coming back, winning the last challenge, ending with TKB losing her Top 4 spot out of something she could not control...which is honestly why I think she just wasn't having it...because she KNOWS she's the next to go if there was ever another opportunity for elimination.

I still can't believe she beat jan with how fierce jan was serving it. She completely made up for her womanizer lipsync and showed how bad she wanted it.....but silky has a prop and wins even though she did kinda meh in the rest of the lipsync. I think any of Silky's lip syncs on their own would have been fine, but to see her rely on gimmicks time after time after time didn't really come off well to me. Especially because she is so sloppy in her movements, she just throws herself around the stage and it ends up looking desperate and uncomfortable IMO.

When Jiggly was on the Sunday Panel a few weeks ago, she recommended to watch Unreal (a TV series) from 2015 about highly produced "reality" show to understand how Drag Race controls the narrative. So, with that being said, it's disappointing to me to clearly see how the show decided to have a "battle with the big girls" in this episode when there was a least one battle that the other queen won over Silky. Does this stir the pot? Yes! Does it make good TV? Yes! But, does it reward the queen with "true" uniqueness, nerve and talent and having to do all the challenges for 95 weeks? Nope! just sayin'

I enjoyed this episode from beginning to end out of all the episodes this season this one by far was my favorite. Silky did what she had to do and I would not be surprised if they bring her back as a lip sync assassin for all stars 7 well deserved. The last lip sync I have two theories first the costume that Silky had on was supposed to be used for the superbowl half-time performance. Silky said at Roscoes her character was supposed to be Missy Elliot now getting back to the lip sync I think they had two songs picked out Kelly Clarkson "Since you've been gone" and Missy Elliot "I can't stand the the rain". Based on my theory I think they were going to use the Missy Elliot song and Silky prepared more for that song and when it came down to lip sync I think the producers switched the songs at the last minute. Now I'm not saying Eureka didn't do good she did a fantastic job and her energy was through the roof. But I find it strange that Silky wins all of these lip syncs but loses the last one. The producers have done this type of stuff in the past to get certain people where they need to be but that's just my theory I could be right or wrong who knows. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Ok, Silky. I see you. Well done. I do wonder, though: how much information did Silky get on the lipsync songs and how much prep time did she have compared to the girls just getting the boot? But Silky looked super pretty. The flag was fine. If it hadn't been for that, it would've been a toss up, for me. Silky vs. Akeria: Welp! I was disappointed not to see Akeria fight for her spot, but only because she usually seems like the kind of queen who is down for anything! But ultimately, she made the right choice, because Silky would have embarrassed her. That, right there, was Silky's best work. And YES, Season 7 stunt, but still! Really really enjoyed it! Sily vs. Jan: Um. Jan won, for me, though. I guess the guitar won Ru over, butttt....I was surprised that Jan did so well. It was just better for her, imo. Sily vs. Pandora: Pandora DID look sooooooo pretty!!! Like damn! But Silky did her best Ariana and was getting her steps in and I was here for it!! Wasn't here for the flopping around on stage, but ok. Silky vs. Eureka: Why wasn't it a Missy song, though? We needed it. I love Kelly Clarkson - they should have used her instead of that Charlie XCX song on that Boom-yikes episode!! But I guess they didn't want to insult the guest judge, lol. I low-key feel like Jan won that lipsync as well but I'm not too mad silky won what I am mad about is the inevitable hate silky will get from white Jan fans even after all this amazingness she did cause they'll feel like Jan deserved it over silky ALSO I feel It's very obvious they're giving this to eureka next episode... Which I truly feel is extremely annoying.. the build up, the fact that they gave eureka the moment with her mom in the talking heads, it's giving very predictable tease & I feel like there setting this up for eureka to come back and eliminate trinity.. there's no way they were gonna give this to silky with how long she's been away from the competition I feel this is a ploy to give eureka her moment within this series. To tie up her storyline.. it just seems really predictable as drag race has gotten REALLY predictable while desperately trying to make it seem like it's not predictable and I feel like that's unfair to the work silky put in... It gives me energy of the ballroom scene where they make you vogue against multiple people with little to no breaks one after the next to get to the final round and lose cause you were winded from going back to back with little to no breaks.. it's just a shame tbh but it is what it is I guess.. just REALLY predictable no shade 🤷🏼‍♂️
