Recently, I have been seeing KZbin videos about how Rupes Polishers are frequently failing and failing repeatedly. If quality and/or design is an issue, how does Rupes plan on addressing these concerns? Especially when they are failing right after the warranty period?

Hi, do we have to use D-A FINE after doing D-A COARSE or have gone directly to UNO PURE? Is UNO PURE designed to go directly after D-A COARSE? (D-A FINE + UNO PURE) or (D-A COARSE + UNO PURE) Will these two combinations give essentially the same result? Because I don't want to do 3 steps for nothing. Many thanks for your response.

You don’t have to follow a strict tiered system for paint correction. Any combination of our products can potentially provide a one-step correction, depending on the hardness or softness of the clear coat. Start with D-A FINE and Yellow Foam for most vehicles. If this doesn’t remove defects, try a Yellow Wool pad for heavier cutting. For softer clear coats, if D-A FINE leaves a haze, consider using a White Foam pad with UNO PURE. For heavy cutting, Blue Wool and D-A COARSE might be needed, with a follow-up step using either D-A FINE or UNO PURE as necessary- but both should not be needed. Always perform a test spot to determine the best combination for your specific paint and defect level. Hope this helps!

@@RUPES Yes, thank you very much. You explained it very well. One last question please. Are you saying that we can finish with D-A FINE, but a person who desires perfection, UNO PURE is much brighter than D-A FINE? where the 2 are the same?

UNO PURE can potentially offer a higher gloss finish compared to D-A FINE, especially on softer paints. For achieving a near-perfect finish, especially before applying coatings or sealants, testing with UNO PURE is ideal. However, if the paint doesn’t show a significant difference, D-A FINE is still a great option. The choice between the two depends on the paint’s hardness: harder paints may yield better results with D-A FINE, while softer paints often benefit more from UNO PURE. Both can be used as a final polishing step.
